Title: Director- US Marketing

Brand:IT Cosmetics

Location: El Segundo, CA

The Director- Marketing role plays a key role in the development, implementation, and presentation of the brand's vision. Assists in and implements marketing strategy for their scope including launch plans, pillar support and marketing activations. Works closely with marketing management to create, develop, execute, and evaluate new product launches and marketing programs to support the brand's growth.

This would include, but would not be limited to, the following accountabilities:

Key Accountabilities
  • Drive successful 360 US go-to-market activations for key product launches & on-going pillar support; owning key strategic programs from start to finish.
  • Maintain strong pulse on market with category lead to find category insights & white space opportunities as well as an in-depth knowledge of US consumers behaviors, trends and needs across multiple demographics and generations.
  • Manages and provides accurate forecasting monthly for all products in scope on present items and future innovations as well as marketing strategies.
  • Manages inventory effectively via add and deletes, recommending products for discontinuation, reviewing obsolete inventory levels, and lost revenue implications.
  • Work with Global marketing team to implement domestic applications of brand strategy and ensure innovation and pillar needs are met for the US.
  • Prepare and/or review DPM direction for Data Entry Specialist for all necessary information, maintain accurate files on ongoing projects, keep abreast of all timetables for new product launches and ensure that deadlines are met in a timely manner; identify potential problems.
  • Complete knowledge of unit/dollar volume for each product within the brand responsibility - both retail and net, with strong analytics and insights.
  • Partner with Brand Engagement team on PR & influencer activations, mailers, briefs, product knowledge/education and more.
  • Works cross functionally to recommend strategic retail pricing for new products; recommend price increases for existing products
  • Partner with Trade Marketing to drive successful retailer specific activations that convert
  • Act as team point-person for Visual Merchandising to ensure elevated brand presence in store
  • Track performance via retail sales and consumer ratings/feedback performance of all new items and optimize with agility.
  • Issue post-launch status & campaign reports to ensure that all launch commitments and performance are met.
  • Prepare for monthly management meetings & presentations within scope on the brand.

Required Competencies and Interpersonal Skills
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines
  • Uses knowledge of internal business issues to improve practices and procedures
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
  • Works independently, requires minimal guidance
  • Creative and agile
  • May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives
  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Strong collaboration & communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to handle multiple and diverse tasks is a must.
  • Strong financial / analytical experience including sales forecasting, analysis of business, profit, budget management.
  • Ability to work in a very hands on, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Fostering teamwork, ability to influence others and maintaining a positive attitude, and always taking initiative and being proactive.
  • Solid understanding of ROI analysis, metrics and program/budget forecasting.


Salary Range: $128,000 - $180,000 + Bonus
