Overview:
The Ethoca team is seeking a Director, Technical Program Management to drive customer experience strategy through execution excellence, innovation, and structured problem-solving.
In this role, you will act as a hands-on program leader, owning multiple strategic initiatives end-to-end; from strategy definition and planning through execution, global launch, and transition to business-as-usual. You will partner closely with senior executives and diverse cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business impact at scale.
Success in this role requires the ability to operate in ambiguity, simplify complexity, and lead large, multi-stream programs with strong governance, communication, and accountability.
Role:
• Lead execution of multiple strategic initiatives from strategy definition through planning and execution, partnering with senior executives and diverse cross-functional teams.
• Organize cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across workstreams and integrating all dependencies into a comprehensive plan.
• Establish governance and operating frameworks that enable clarity, accountability, and speed, driving a strong communication rhythm across executives, management, and technical teams spanning multiple geographies.
• Own executive-level communications, including status dashboards for all initiatives within scope, and act as a single point of reference for managed initiatives.
• Build and maintain integrated schedules that account for key internal and external dependencies and constraints.
• Own end-to-end execution across a portfolio of initiatives-from ideation and planning through execution, launch, and transition to BAU.
• Simplify complexity and accelerate progress, bringing clarity to ambiguity and tackling difficult problems with creativity and rigor.
• Demonstrate appropriate urgency to ensure mitigation of risks and resolution of issues, with the ability to identify and communicate true business impact.
• Apply strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, ensuring successful movement through the Studio process - from framing the initial idea, to developing the proof of concept, to market test, commercialization, GTM readiness, and eventual transition to BAU.
• Define and measure success metrics, prioritize high-impact initiatives, and drive measurable business outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement across Agile, Scrum, and CI/CD practices, applying learnings to streamline processes and drive efficiency.
• Lead change management, stakeholder alignment, and adoption strategies across programs.
• Provide thought leadership and mentorship, elevating the Strategy Execution discipline and developing more junior team members.
All About You:
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage complex programs, and drive strategic execution.
• Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-stream programs with full ownership from strategy through execution.
• Strong expertise in Agile delivery, Scrum practices, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Proven track record of managing escalations, delivering large-scale initiatives, and leading cross-organizational efforts.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues and decisions clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Skilled in simplifying complex problems and driving continuous improvement.
• Ability to build consensus, resolve contentious issues, and deliver results with minimal guidance.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred:
• Experience in consulting or complex enterprise environments.
• Background in technical program leadership within payments, financial services, or technology organizations.
