Who You AreOntic is seeking a strategic, consultative leader to join our team as Director of Strategic Solutions, a critical role at the intersection of sales and client success. You bring a strong background in management consulting or value engineering, and you thrive in translating complex SaaS solutions into clear business value for executive audiences.
In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to both prospects and clients-partnering with sales, solution consultants, and client success teams to shape strategic deals and long-term client outcomes. You will lead executive-level value conversations, build tailored ROI models, and deliver compelling business cases that connect Ontic's platform to measurable impact across physical security and risk management organizations.
As a cross-functional leader, you will:
- Influence product and go-to-market strategy based on insights from client engagements.
- Equip field teams with scalable value tools, messaging frameworks, and enablement content.
- Design and execute repeatable methods for showcasing value-from pre-sales proposals through renewal and expansion cycles.
You move seamlessly between strategy and execution-comfortable crafting frameworks from scratch, facilitating high-stakes meetings with CFOs and CSOs, and enabling teams across sales, success, and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:Pre-Sales / New Business- Partner with sales and solution consultants to create tailored business cases, ROI models, and value assessments for strategic prospects.
- Lead executive-level value conversations with CFOs, CSOs, COOs, and other senior stakeholders to align Ontic's capabilities with business outcomes.
- Shape and contribute to RFPs, proposals, and client presentations with financial justification and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.
Post-Sales / Customer Success- Collaborate with client success managers to define success metrics, track impact, and communicate realized value throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Conduct periodic value reviews, executive business reviews (EBRs), assist with developing success plans and renewal prep sessions to reinforce ROI and support upsell/expansion motions.
- Build scalable tools, calculators, and frameworks to streamline value conversations within the strategic and enterprise segments.
Cross-Functional Leadership- Influence product strategy by capturing insights from value-driven client conversations and surfacing unmet needs or differentiators.
- Enable field teams (AEs, SAMs, SCs, CSMs) by delivering training, playbooks, and repeatable value messaging frameworks.
- Support partner enablement by collaborating with alliances/partners to integrate value consulting into co-sell and channel programs.
Qualifications Requirement:- 8+ years in value engineering, management consulting, solution consulting, or strategic sales support roles in B2B SaaS.
- Strong understanding of SaaS financial metrics (CAC, LTV, NRR, TCO, etc.) and the ability to translate technical features into business impact.
- Proven track record of influencing C-level stakeholders and leading complex, strategic deals.
- Exceptional communication, executive presence, and storytelling skills.
- Experience building value frameworks from scratch or significantly evolving them.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Value Cloud, or custom ROI tools preferred.
Nice to Have- Experience in physical security, risk intelligence, or threat management platforms.
- Prior background at a growth-stage SaaS company or management consultancy (e.g., Bain, BCG, Deloitte).
- MBA or advanced degree in finance, business, or related field.
