What is the opportunity?

The Director, Strategic Security Integrations is responsible for leading security due diligence, technical reviews, and security strategy for newly acquired companies, potential divestitures, and regional expansion initiatives. This role is pivotal in translating complex security challenges into clear, actionable integration and deployment plans that resonate with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

You'll collaborate across Global Security and partner teams to identify security risks, develop remediation strategies, and guide organizations through secure integration and expansion. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly-and tell the "why" behind security decisions-will be as critical as your technical expertise.

As a central technical resource, you'll support end-to-end cybersecurity integration efforts and coordinate across Global Security, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and TI teams. You'll drive security diligence activities and ensure all relevant security tasks are completed-acting as a bridge between acquired entities, regional teams, and RBC's broader security organization to keep initiatives on track and aligned with enterprise standards.

What will you do?
  • Assess and integrate network, cloud, physical, and access architectures of acquired companies and regional expansion sites, defining alignment and integration plans with RBC systems
  • Conduct security reviews and capability assessments for M&A and regional expansion initiatives to identify gaps and integration priorities
  • Communicate findings clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams, translating technical risks into business impact and recommended solutions
  • Architect pragmatic solutions that meet security requirements while balancing business continuity and integration timelines across acquisitions and regional deployments
  • Coordinate security diligence across stakeholder groups-acquired entities, Global Security, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and IT-to ensure comprehensive security task completion
  • Mentor and influence peers across Security, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and TI on approved security patterns and best practices
  • Drive risk/threat assessments across M&A projects and regional expansion initiatives, reporting on security status and mitigation progress
  • Build security culture by championing IT security principles and fostering collaboration across acquired entities, regional teams, and internal stakeholders Challenge and improve current security standards and policies to strengthen GS integration and expansion procedures


What do you need to succeed?

Must have:
  • 7+ years of experience in technology roles involving infrastructure, systems, or security domains (architecture background not required technologists from various specialties welcome)
  • Proven ability to identify and assess critical security risks in complex environments, including vulnerabilities in infrastructure, applications, and processes
  • Strong communication skills-ability to articulate technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Deep technical understanding of security challenges (network segmentation, endpoint security, cloud security) and prioritization skills Advanced knowledge of networking security tooling, methodologies, and operating systems (Windows/Unix/AIX/Linux)
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and practical application in integration scenarios
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams to drive security integration


Nice-to-have:
  • Experience communicating security strategy to business audiences
  • Background in M&A, integrations, regional expansion, or fast-paced transformation environments
  • Mentoring or leadership experience
