Job Description

What can you expect in a Director of Strategic Growth (AI Services) role with TaskUs:

As a Director of Strategic Growth at TaskUs, your primary mission is to serve as the strategic architect of growth for our most sophisticated AI and LLM partners. You will lead the charge in expanding our footprint within the "Mag7" and frontier model labs, transitioning early-stage pilots into massive, multi-million dollar programs. This role is inherently collaborative; you will partner cross-functionally with other Sales leaders, Solutioning, and AI Operations to ensure a unified "one-team" approach. By aligning our cutting-edge capabilities in RLHF, data curation, and AI safety with the rapidly shifting roadmaps of our clients, you will deliver a white-glove, end-to-end experience that cements TaskUs as the indispensable partner in the global AI ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement and Business Development

In this role, you will act as a strategic anchor for our most sophisticated AI partners, co-architecting their innovation roadmaps in lockstep with our broader account teams. You won't work in a silo; instead, you will partner closely with fellow Sales leaders to ensure a unified TaskUs presence. By maintaining a high-touch engagement model, you will help the team deeply embed TaskUs into the client's ecosystem, ensuring our RLHF and data solutions evolve alongside their frontier models.

You will actively hunt for new opportunities within your current accounts, looking for ways to solve the next big challenge for your clients. By building relationships with new product teams and R&D labs, you will introduce them to the latest TaskUs services-ensuring we grow our footprint as their AI needs evolve.

Collaboration

You will work hand-in-hand with our Solutions and AI Services teams to turn complex client needs into reality. By bridging the gap between the client's vision and our technical experts, you ensure every project is designed and delivered with a "white-glove" touch from start to finish. This close-knit partnership allows us to build custom AI workflows that are both innovative and perfectly aligned with our clients' operational goals.

Market Analysis

You will stay attuned to the AI industry by tracking emerging trends and monitoring competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities. You'll share these insights with the broader team to help keep our sales approach fresh and relevant in a fast-moving market.

Responsibilities
  • Drive aggressive revenue growth within the world's leading AI and LLM organizations by identifying expansion opportunities across new product lines and geographies.
  • Align TaskUs services-such as RLHF, red-teaming, and data fine-tuning-with the specific developmental roadmaps of frontier model labs and enterprise AI adopters.
  • Develop and execute multi-year account plans that move partnerships from tactical delivery to indispensable strategic alliances.
  • Partner with peer Client Service leaders to ensure a unified approach when navigating the complex, often siloed, organizational structures of "Big Tech" clients.
  • Collaborate with Solutioning and AI Operations teams to design and deploy "white-glove" service models that meet the high-security and high-accuracy demands of AI development.
  • Facilitate the sharing of best practices and market insights across the Client Services org to standardize excellence in AI delivery.
  • Act as a high-level consultant to client executives, providing data-driven insights that influence their AI safety and operational strategies.
  • Oversee the total client experience, ensuring a frictionless transition from initial solutioning to scaled production while maintaining world-class service standards.
  • Represent the unique needs of the AI/LLM vertical internally to influence TaskUs's product development and resource allocation.
  • Work cross-functionally to prioritize resources for high-impact AI projects, ensuring the most innovative partners receive top-tier support and technical expertise.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B account management in AI services, customer success, business development, or client services in AI organizations.
  • Ideally supporting enterprise accounts or high-growth startup organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively generate new opportunities through relationship-building, in-person events, and ecosystem engagement.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing a portfolio of accounts with a structured and scalable approach.
  • Experience working with technical or product-focused customers and translating their needs into talent or services solutions.
  • Energy and enthusiasm for participating in and helping shape the startup and AI community.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; comfortable operating in ambiguity while bringing structure through process and execution.
  • Data fluency, including experience using dashboards and metrics to inform strategy and performance.
  • Passion for delivering high-value customer experiences and aligning internal teams around client success.

Work Location/Travel:
  • The position is remote. Bay area is preferred.
  • Domestic and international travel: 25 - 50%
