Full Job Description
The Director, Sales Support leads the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of sales support operations that enable sales teams to achieve growth objectives and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This leader is responsible for overseeing processes, systems, reporting, analytics, training, operational effectiveness, and cross-functional collaboration that support sales performance across multiple channels and markets.
The Director serves as a key business partner to Sales Leadership, Marketing, Product, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure sales representatives have the tools, resources, insights, and operational support necessary to effectively engage customers and drive business results.

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute the overall Sales Support strategy aligned with organizational growth objectives.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to identify operational opportunities and remove barriers impacting sales performance.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales support effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
  • Lead change management efforts associated with new programs, technologies, and business processes.
Sales Operations & Enablement
  • Oversee sales support programs, processes, and workflows that improve sales effectiveness.
  • Ensure sales teams have access to accurate sales materials, tools, training resources, and customer information.
  • Partner with Training and Learning teams to support onboarding and ongoing sales education initiatives.
  • Manage sales enablement technologies and recommend enhancements that improve adoption and effectiveness.
  • Support territory planning, account assignments, lead management, and pipeline management processes.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Lead development of dashboards, reporting, and performance metrics to support decision-making.
  • Analyze sales performance trends and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Partner with business intelligence teams to develop forecasting and performance measurement tools.
  • Monitor and improve data quality and reporting accuracy across sales platforms.
  • Deliver executive-level insights related to sales productivity, conversion, retention, and growth opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Marketing to support campaign execution and lead generation activities.
  • Partner with Product and Operations teams to ensure alignment of customer-facing initiatives.
  • Work closely with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure sales processes adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between sales teams and internal business partners to address operational issues and implement solutions.
Team Leadership
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing Sales Support organization.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures.
  • Mentor managers and team members to enhance leadership capabilities and professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, customer focus, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience supporting sales organizations.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and complex business functions.
  • Experience leading sales operations, sales enablement, revenue operations, or sales support functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing and presenting executive-level reporting and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms, reporting tools, and sales technologies.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related field).
  • Healthcare, insurance, financial services, or highly regulated industry experience.
  • Experience supporting large national sales organizations.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Experience leading digital transformation and process optimization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of sales forecasting, pipeline management, and customer engagement strategies.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$138,900 - $191,000 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
