Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a dynamic and strategic
Director, Public Relations to lead our enterprise-wide public relations and media engagement efforts. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive PR strategies that drive media coverage, amplify our compelling business story, enhance our corporate reputation and drive visibility for our portfolio of travel brands. The Director will lead integrated public relations campaigns, manage media relations across consumer and business press, and oversee external agency partnerships.
This is a highly visible role that requires a seasoned communications leader with deep expertise in media relations, corporate messaging, investor relations communications and brand storytelling-particularly within the hospitality or travel industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-profile PR initiatives, serving as a corporate spokesperson, and guiding senior executives through media engagements.
How You'll Shine:Public Relations & Media Strategy- Develop and implement integrated public relations strategies that align with business objectives and enhance corporate and brand reputation.
- Oversee enterprise-wide media relations efforts, proactively securing coverage across business, consumer, and trade media.
- Serve as strategic partner to investor relations team to craft a compelling business narrative and deliver media opportunities to amplify the value proposition. Additionally, provide quarterly earnings media support.
- Additionally, this role may serve as a public-facing spokesperson and Travel Trends expert, representing the company across top-tier national media and scalable content platforms.
Media Relations & Thought Leadership- Serve as the lead media relations expert, building and maintaining strong relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers.
- Act as a company spokesperson for corporate media inquiries and industry-related discussions.
- Develop key messages, press releases, FAQs, media statements, and briefing materials to support media engagement.
- Lead the management of the external speaker's bureau, securing and preparing executives for media interviews, panels, and industry events.
What You'll Bring:- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Communications, Public Relations, Integrated Marketing or Journalism
- Experience in both agency and in-house environments preferred
- Experience managing financial communications for publicly traded company and successful track-record of supporting investor relations functions.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing PR campaigns that drive meaningful media coverage and brand awareness.
- Experience serving as a corporate spokesperson and training executives for media engagements.
- Proven ability to manage external PR agencies and drive high-impact results.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling press materials and executive messaging.
- 15+ years of public relations and media relations experience, with a proven track-record in hospitality, travel, or consumer
