Director, Project ManagementThe Director of Project Management provides leadership and oversight for the project management function within the digital marketing organization. This role is focused on operational excellence: developing scalable processes, overseeing complex cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery. The Director acts as both a leader of people and a builder of systems, establishing best practices and driving continuous improvement in project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the project management team, including Sr. PMs, PMs, and Coordinators.
- Oversee execution of complex, high-visibility projects and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Develop, implement, and refine project management methodologies, tools, and workflows.
- Ensure consistent standards of quality, efficiency, and risk management across all projects.
- Partner with leadership to forecast resource needs and allocate appropriately.
- Support cross-departmental collaboration to drive operational efficiency.
- Mentor and develop project management staff, creating clear career pathways and professional growth opportunities.
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning, particularly around project delivery and process optimization.
Success Factors- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Operations, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive experience in project management, including leadership of teams.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex, cross-functional projects at scale.
- Deep expertise in project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and change management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced project management certification (PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) highly preferred.
The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000, with the final offer based on a combination of factors, including education, relevant experience, skills, prior training, internal equity, and local geographic market data. Location & Work EnvironmentHighwire offers both remote and hybrid work options, depending on where you live.
Hybrid: Candidates located within commuting distance of our New York, NY or San Francisco, CA offices follow a hybrid schedule, with three in-office days per week.
