Location: 5 on-site days a week in Sunnyvale, CA Headquarters.

Our Team's Vision:

Our Product Management team thrives on visionary leadership, autonomy, and ownership, creating a dynamic synergy in the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape. We collaborate closely with Engineering to solve critical, real-world challenges for our customers.

Illumio Insights is our SaaS analytics platform that transforms network traffic data into actionable security intelligence. Built on a cloud-native infrastructure, Insights provides unified visibility and data analysis across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. We are building the next generation of practitioner workflows for Insights - moving beyond visibility into detection, investigation, and response.

As Director of Product Management for Insights, you will define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for these next-generation workflows. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle from anomaly detection through response, building the capabilities that transform Illumio into a comprehensive detection-and-containment platform.

Your Impact:
  • Define and own the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for advanced security workflows within the Insights platform.
  • Drive the product strategy for advanced threat detection and behavioral analysis capabilities tailored to modern security operations center (SOC) environments.
  • Partner closely with engineering leadership across multiple engineering teams to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver capabilities through agile development cycles.
  • Collaborate directly with field teams, customers, and strategic partners to gather operational workflow requirements and validate product-market fit.
  • Develop the innovation roadmap for advanced analytical models and AI/ML-assisted features that streamline security investigation and triage.
  • Lead product planning for platform integrations with ecosystem tools, enabling security operations teams to seamlessly leverage Illumio capabilities within their existing workflows.
  • Own competitive positioning against market alternatives, partnering with Product Marketing to articulate Illumio's unified value proposition.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of product managers, establishing strong PM practices as the organization scales.

Your Toolkit:
  • 10+ years of experience in product management or closely related roles (engineering, sales engineering, technical pre-sales) in enterprise security or networking.
  • 5+ years of product management experience shipping analytics, detection, or workflow products in the network security or cybersecurity domain.
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing product managers.
  • Deep domain expertise in network traffic analysis, security analytics, or detection and response - with a practitioner's understanding of how SOC teams investigate and respond to network-based threats.
  • Track record of defining and delivering enterprise SaaS products that security practitioners use daily, with demonstrable outcomes in user adoption and customer retention.
  • Experience with data-intensive security products: flow analytics, behavioral detection, SIEM/SOAR integrations, or threat intelligence platforms.
  • Established practice of utilizing data and analytics to inform product decisions, including product usage telemetry, customer engagement metrics, and market research.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels - setting multi-year vision while running sprint-level prioritization with engineering teams.

BONUS POINTS:
  • Product management experience at a vendor focused on network security analytics, security operations, or detection and response capabilities.
  • Experience building products that leverage network flow data (NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX, VPC Flow Logs) for security use cases.
  • Understanding of AI/ML technologies applied to security detection - anomaly detection algorithms, graph neural networks, or LLM-based security reasoning.
  • Background in network forensics, incident response, or security operations.
  • Experience with Zero Trust architectures, microsegmentation, or network security policy management.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native data platforms designed for security analytics at scale.
