Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

The Discover and Gmail Ads team represent a fast-growing slice of Google's Ads business. This team is on a journey to build these growing properties by balancing advertiser performance with a strong "user-first" mandate.

The Google Ads team is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the Discover and Gmail Ads businesses. You will own the product roadmap for delivering the best possible ads experience for users, and the greatest possible value for advertisers. Both surfaces are in growth mode, and you will be responsible for the entire user-side experience, from auction and quality to inventory and formats. You will lead a team of 9 product managers and will ultimately be responsible to grow the combined business.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a product leader, building, managing, and executing a product vision, strategy, and roadmap to support two products primed for significant growth.
  • Manage a team of 9 talented product management professionals in partnership with an engineering and user experience organization of 100 . Mentor and help the team grow into positions of influence and scale.
  • Work closely with the Gmail and Discover consumer teams to drive a joint organic product strategy that adds value to users, not just advertisers.
  • Synthesize and drive product strategy from interactions with business stakeholders to our Legal and Policy teams.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams across Google Ads to advocate for and execute your vision.
