The Opportunity

The Director, Product Enablement is a visionary leader responsible for overseeing the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of technology delivery and application support within the organization. This role ensures the alignment of application services with business objectives, maximizes operational efficiency, and promotes a culture of excellence in technology-enabled service delivery. The Director will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive the adoption of best practices in delivery management, application support, and technology innovation. 

Who You'll Work With

  • Reports to: SMD, Head of Investments Technology and Applied Intelligence

  • Direct reports: Solution Architects, Product Operation Specialist, Application Support, and related technology teams.

  • Works closely with: Product Engineering Leaders, Business leaders, project managers, enterprise architects, infrastructure teams, vendors, and external partners. 

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership 

  • Develop and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Product Enablement in alignment with organizational goals. 

  • Champion initiatives that optimize technology solutions and application support services, ensuring they meet evolving business needs. 

  • Establish performance metrics and targets, regularly assessing progress and adjusting strategy as required. 

Operational Excellence 

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects and services, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met. 

  • Embed continuous improvement practices in all aspects of delivery and support, leveraging data to drive operational enhancements. 

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on service levels, incident trends, and root cause analysis to proactively manage risk and optimize performance. 

Team Leadership and Development 

  • Lead, coach, and develop diverse delivery and support teams, fostering an environment of high engagement, growth, and accountability. 

  • Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and promote professional development opportunities for team members. 

  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative culture across all technology teams. 

Stakeholder Management 

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with business partners, technology leaders, and vendors to ensure effective delivery and support of applications. 

  • Act as a key point of contact for escalations and critical incidents, facilitating communication and resolution between stakeholders. 

  • Engage with executives to provide insights, recommendations, and status updates on delivery and support initiatives. 

Delivery Management 

  • Ensure the implementation of robust delivery frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps, ITIL) in close collaboration with Technology Service teams to enhance the speed, quality, and efficiency of technology delivery

  • Ensure resource allocation and capacity planning support current and future delivery needs. 

  • Drive the adoption of automation and digital solutions to streamline delivery processes and reduce manual effort. 

Application Support 

  • Oversee the support and maintenance of mission-critical applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. 

  • Lead the incident, problem, and change management processes, ensuring swift resolution and minimal business disruption. 

  • Implement strategies to enhance user experience, including proactive monitoring, user training, and support documentation. 

Risk and Compliance 

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices across delivery and support activities. 

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to technology delivery and application support. 

  • Lead audit and review processes, providing documentation and evidence as required. 

Technology Innovation 

  • Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and best practices, assessing opportunities for innovation within delivery and support functions. 

  • Champion the adoption of new tools, platforms, and techniques to drive competitive advantage for the organization. 

  • Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning across teams.

  • Strong understanding of application architecture, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems. 

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with a proven track record of driving results through others. 

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-impact outcomes under pressure. 

  • Experience implementing process automation, digital transformation, and technology innovation initiatives. 

  • Knowledge of regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements relevant to technology operations. 

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in technology delivery, application support, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity. 

  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale technology teams and initiatives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. 

  • Expertise in delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps) and IT service management frameworks (ITIL, COBIT). 

  • Experience in investment technology platforms such as Charles River, SimCorp and Treasury platforms highly desired.
