Full Job Description
About the team and role:

eBay Live is one of eBay's top strategic priorities, operating in a true zero-to-one space to define a new, interactive shopping experience for customers globally. As Live scales, we are building a dynamic, engaging, and differentiated marketplace that brings buyers and sellers together in entirely new ways.

The Director of Product Management, eBay Live will lead a critical product area within the Live ecosystem, with significant opportunities to shape high-impact experiences that empower sellers and hosts to grow their businesses and succeed on the platform. This role will drive strategy and execution across key areas including supply expansion, Cross Border Trade (CBT), and post-transaction experiences. The leader will define and deliver products that expand high-quality supply, unlock global participation, improve operational efficiency, and create seamless experiences before, during, and after live events.

As eBay Live continues to scale globally, this leader will establish a bold product vision and roadmap focused on accelerating seller and host success, increasing inventory breadth and category expansion, and strengthening customer trust through differentiated post-transaction experiences. They will influence cross-functional roadmaps, drive innovation across the Live ecosystem, and build a high-performing team that delivers measurable business impact while maintaining a high bar for quality, compliance, and customer experience.

This role requires strong product leadership, customer obsession, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. You will partner across Product, Design, Engineering, Trust, Policy, Legal, Analytics, Operations, and Global Markets to bring bold ideas to life while maintaining a high bar for quality, compliance, and business impact. The ideal candidate is passionate about empowering sellers and hosts, scaling global commerce experiences, and building products that drive marketplace growth, engagement, and long-term customer loyalty.

What you will accomplish:
  • Set product vision and strategy for eBay Live Seller & Host Experience by defining and articulating a compelling multi-year product vision aligned to eBay Live and the broader eBay marketplace strategy, driving seller and host success across supply expansion, post-transaction experiences, and marketplace trust, while leveraging qualitative insights and quantitative data to inform strategic direction and investment decisions.
  • Design and deliver a multi-year roadmap by developing and executing a clear, prioritized roadmap that balances customer value, seller growth, marketplace health, operational scalability, and global expansion, while defining success metrics and measurable outcomes to guide prioritization and track impact.
  • Drive supply expansion and global growth by building products and experiences that attract and retain high-quality sellers and hosts, expand inventory breadth and category selection, and unlock Cross Border Trade (CBT) opportunities that connect buyers and sellers across global markets.
  • Shape differentiated seller and host experiences by leading the creation of engaging, seamless, and scalable Live experiences that empower sellers and hosts to grow their businesses, improve operational efficiency, and differentiate eBay in live commerce while ensuring high-quality UX across complex, multi-system workflows.
  • Transform post-transaction experiences by driving innovation across fulfillment, shipping, order management, seller communications, issue resolution, and retention to increase customer satisfaction, strengthen trust, and create long-term engagement across the Live ecosystem.
  • Drive cross-functional execution at scale by breaking down silos, aligning highly matrixed teams to deliver complex, cross-domain initiatives, and establishing strong operating mechanisms that clarify priorities and enable teams to move quickly with focus and accountability.
  • Build and inspire a high-performing team by recruiting, developing, and retaining exceptional product talent, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture grounded in strong product judgment and clear goals, and empowering teams to think strategically and execute with excellence.

What you will bring:
  • 12+ years of product management experience, with strong customer-first product judgment; marketplace and/or eCommerce experience preferred.
  • Proven experience setting product vision and leading multi-year strategy in high-growth or zero-to-one environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer and business insights into clear priorities, tradeoffs, and execution-ready roadmaps.
  • Strong end-to-end product depth, with experience delivering high-quality UX across complex, cross-functional platforms.
  • Data-driven mindset, with expertise defining success metrics and using quantitative and qualitative inputs to guide decisions.
  • Track record of elevating buyer and seller experiences through deep customer empathy and close Design and Research partnership.
  • Experience leading in global, matrixed environments and driving alignment across Product, Engineering, Trust, Policy, Legal, Category, Operations, and Analytics.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to navigate ambiguity, establish clarity, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience managing product managers and building high-performing teams.
  • Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to align senior stakeholders around product strategy through compelling, data-driven narratives.
