At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Portfolio Management - Manage a portfolio supporting Technology, Contact Centres, and Data & AI teams, including pipeline development, supplier strategy, and execution of complex sourcing and contracting initiatives.
  • Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation - Lead the development and execution of sourcing and negotiation strategies to meet business objectives. Ensure adherence to CIBC’s Sourcing Methodology Process, resulting in well-negotiated contracts with robust governance and compliance.
  • Vendor Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with key technology and contact centre vendors. Collaborate with senior team members to support vendor management activities and ensure business unit engagement in supplier agreements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Develop and maintain relationships with executives, business leaders, risk group stakeholders, and suppliers. Act as a strategic advisor to internal clients, capturing business requirements and translating them into clear supplier deliverables.
  • Project & Initiative Leadership - Support and advance sourcing initiatives through effective project management. Represent Procurement on committees and working groups, demonstrating expertise in sourcing strategies and operational effectiveness.
  • Team Support & Coaching - Oversee the work of Procurement Leads and support broader team management. Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to team members, fostering collaboration and an inclusive work environment.
  • Communication & Influence - Communicate regularly with CIBC executives and business leaders, providing impactful updates and influencing management decisions to achieve consensus and resolve complex issues.
  • Risk Management & Compliance - Ensure operational effectiveness and compliance for all sourcing-related initiatives. Implement procedures based on internal guidelines and proactively address issues identified by Governance, Compliance, and Internal Audit.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in all aspects of the sourcing lifecycle, including developing and refining sourcing opportunities, supplier selection (e.g., RFPs), negotiation, and contracting.
  • You are a bold and accountable leader. You have experience developing strategic recommendations, securing leadership buy-in, and driving execution through cross-functional teams.
  • You understand that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making. As much as you are comfortable at the strategic and conceptual level, you are equally comfortable diving into the details to uncover opportunities and resolve issues.
  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.
  • You're driven by collective success. You know that collaboration can transform a good idea into a great one. You understand the power of an inclusive team that enjoys working together to bring a shared vision to life.
