Full Job Description
Director, Pricing for our Dallas, TX Headquarters. This position is responsible for leading the company's pricing strategy, portfolio optimization, and commercial analytics functions to maximize profitable growth while supporting customer acquisition, retention, and asset utilization objectives.

This role serves as a key advisor to Commercial Leadership and partners closely with Sales, Leasing, Capital Markets, Operations, and Finance to establish pricing frameworks, evaluate market opportunities, optimize returns, and support strategic decision-making. The role combines commercial leadership, financial rigor, market intelligence, and talent development to drive long-term enterprise value.

What you'll do:

Commercial Pricing Strategy
  • Develop and execute enterprise pricing strategies across renewals, assignments, and new business opportunities
  • Establish pricing governance, policies, and approval frameworks
  • Drive differentiated pricing strategies based on customer value, market conditions, competitive dynamics, and asset availability
  • Partner with commercial leaders to improve yield, profitability, and portfolio performance

Sales Partnership & Customer Profitability
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to sales leaders during proposal development and complex customer negotiations.
  • Provide analytical support to evaluate competitive opportunities and strategic accounts
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to balance volume, margin, customer retention, and return objectives
  • Translate market trends into actionable pricing recommendations for sales leadership.

Portfolio & Financial Optimization
  • Lead development of pricing, profitability, and cost optimization models
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and expected return profiles
  • Support capital allocation decisions through data-driven financial analysis
  • Monitor portfolio performance, market trends, asset utilization, and yield optimization opportunities

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing pricing and analytics professionals

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 10+ years of progressive commercial, pricing, finance, portfolio management, or strategic leadership experience
  • Proven strategic pricing leadership with the ability to develop and execute pricing strategies that maximize revenue, profitability, and long-term business growth
  • Proven success partnering with sales organizations to drive revenue growth and margin improvement
  • Experience leading pricing strategies, customer profitability analysis, and commercial decision support
  • Knowledge of railcar leasing economics, market dynamics and customer requirements is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams and organizational development efforts
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience driving profitable growth through data-driven pricing decisions and forecasting
  • Proven ability to improve pricing yield, renewal retention, profitability, portfolio returns, and new business margin performance
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence Sales, Finance, Operations, Product Management, and Executive stakeholders
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills with the ability to translate complex analytics into actionable business recommendations
  • Experience developing high-performing teams through coaching, talent development, and employee engagement
