Responsible for managing portfolio relationships for the Healthcare CRE and Middle Market industry vertical.

Responsibilities
• Primary responsibilities involve managing portfolio account relationships for lending and deposit customers for portfolio customers.
• Manage an assigned portfolio of loan accounts and maintain deep understanding of clients’ business, industry trends and markets, pro-actively monitor financial performance to assess risk profile and credit risk rating, respond to client credit requests, advocate appropriate actions to BU Head and PM Team Leader;
• Coordinate with BU Head and Origination Team (Relationship Managers and Underwriters) with all facets of underwriting and closing senior debt financings and related credit requests for existing portfolio relationships;
• Prepare high quality, detailed credit approval documents containing an in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis and understanding of the customer, borrowers’ operating performance, healthcare market trends/fundamentals, and identify key business issues and risks;
• Support Origination Team on transaction process and underwriting diligence including financial modeling,preparation of credit approval documents in accordance with the bank’s credit policies and procedures; participate in credit committee approval discussions, coordinate loan closing with product partners (Treasury, Operations, Loan Syndication);
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Webster’s full suite of credit products and services to deliver appropriate solutions to customers and demonstrate an ability to form trusted, consultative relationships with customers.
Education, Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA a plus
• 5-10 years of experience in commercial banking, commercial finance, private credit
• Formal bank credit training and experience in PM and Underwriter role
• Strong corporate finance, credit analytical skills, and proficiency in financial statement analysis
• Healthcare Industry and Commercial Real Estate experience strongly preferred
• Great interpersonal skills with ability to interface with Relationship Managers, Underwriters and Portfolio Managers, Senior Credit Officers, clients, and executive management
• Proven ability to manage and cultivate client relationships
• Well organized and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
The estimated base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $150,000 annually. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
