Team Description:

As a Director in Oracle Health Core Platforms Operations, you will lead the Citrix Platform organization and the stability, modernization, and operational-health agenda for a critical customer-facing platform. You will set strategy and execution priorities across Gen1 stability, incident and CAPA follow-through, technology currency, security, capacity, Millennium health, critical projects, and Move to OCI Operations/Support handoff standardization. You will influence senior leaders and technical teams across organizational boundaries to deliver measurable improvements in customer reliability and execution discipline.

You will lead managers, senior technical leaders, and engineers responsible for operating and improving the Citrix platform supporting US and global customers. You will establish clear portfolio ownership, align teams on shared outcomes, and ensure dependencies, risks, and decisions are actively managed through closure.

This role requires a leader who can translate complex operational and technical signals into an integrated plan, remove barriers, make timely tradeoffs, and communicate progress and risk credibly to Senior Directors, VPs, and peer organizations. You will build an environment of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement while maintaining a strong focus on customer impact.

The Director will be central to sustaining platform stability while advancing modernization. The role will drive cross-functional improvement across incident and T3 reduction, resiliency and CAPA actions, observability, Windows technology currency, OLVM burndown, security and credential initiatives, capacity reviews, and service-health programs.

Org:

Leads a platform group; develops strategies and plans that standardize runtimes, APIs, and SDKs across several teams. Accountable for group results and governance adherence; makes operational decisions ensuring compatibility, security, and performance. Sponsors cross-group innovation in resilience, capacity modeling, and interoperability. Communicates with executive leadership on platform health, risk, and adoption.

Responsibilities

Team Responsibilities:
• Own the Citrix Platform operating strategy, roadmap, and delivery plan, balancing immediate customer-impacting priorities with durable reliability and modernization outcomes.
• Lead and develop an organization of managers and technical professionals; establish clear accountabilities, performance expectations, succession depth, and an inclusive, high-performing culture.
• Drive Gen1 stability and wellness improvements through disciplined incident, T3, problem-management, CAPA, and resiliency practices; ensure actions have accountable owners, evidence of closure, and measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate cross-organization priorities for observability, telemetry, service health, capacity planning, Windows technology currency, OLVM reduction, security remediation, and credential lifecycle work.
• Provide senior operational leadership during significant customer-impacting incidents and escalations, ensuring timely decision-making, transparent communication, and rigorous follow-through.
• Partner with engineering, security, infrastructure, OCI, Millennium, and support organizations to remove dependencies and standardize the Move to OCI Operations/Support handoff model.
• Define and review operational health metrics, trends, risks, and commitments; use data to prioritize investments and communicate progress to executive stakeholders.
• Sponsor critical projects that improve platform reliability, scalability, operational efficiency, and the customer experience across global production environments.
• Manage resource allocation and sequencing across operational commitments and strategic initiatives, escalating tradeoffs early when customer or delivery risk requires leadership action.

Team Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline; or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in technology operations, infrastructure, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or enterprise application delivery.
• 7+ years of experience leading managers and technical teams in complex, customer-facing production environments.
• Demonstrated success improving reliability, incident response, problem management, CAPA execution, and operational health for large-scale services.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure and platform operations, including virtualization, Windows technologies, networking, identity or credential management, observability, capacity, and security controls.
• Proven ability to lead across organizational boundaries, influence senior stakeholders, make sound risk-based decisions, and communicate clearly during high-pressure situations.
• Strong analytical, program-management, and people-leadership skills, with a track record of translating strategy into measurable execution outcomes.
• Experience supporting healthcare, regulated, or mission-critical customer environments is preferred.

Org Responsibilities

Platform Software Development:
  • Define platform strategy for a group, aligning runtimes, SDKs, and integration frameworks to interoperable, multi-tenant standards.
  • Govern cross-group compatibility and security controls with SRE/security partners; approve high-risk migrations and deprecations.
  • Own group-wide resilience and capacity objectives; institutionalize rollout, canary, and rollback patterns across services.

Software Development and Coding - Design, Testing, and Optimization:
  • Defines key elements for leads and/or teams to design multiple software solutions and identify and analyze requirements to ensure alignment with business and organizational goals.
  • Applies broad understanding of other areas within the organization to develop and guide new software features and enhancements following design specifications, ensuring accessibility, and to develop documents to clarify software design and code.
  • Leads design and specification reviews to drive improvements across multiple projects/programs.
  • Utilizes conceptual thinking to direct leads and/or teams for conducting debugging and troubleshooting to identify and fix software issues.
  • Directs leads and/or teams to implement software testing (e.g., functional and non-functional), quality assurance processes, software error logging, monitoring, and observability for effective debugging.
  • Drives the optimization of design and development practices to improve performance across products and domains, ensuring adherence to organizational goals in execution of business priorities.
  • Directs teams in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to application programming interface (API) functionality and integration.
  • Directs teams to implement API versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.

Software Architecture - Software System Structural Design:
  • Directs teams to design and develop software, systems, and services.
  • Coaches managers to provide technical guidance and domain expertise in software architecture decisions and best practices.
  • Utilizes conceptual thinking to direct teams in conducting periodic reviews and ensures adherence to architectural standards.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders within and outside the organization to align and build software architecture with business and/or customer goals and priorities in focus.
  • Directs teams to implement performance optimization and scalability strategies in software design.
  • Defines processes and approaches to conduct regular technology research and evaluation for architectural enhancements.

Issue/Defect Collaboration - Software Products Support:
  • Collaborates with stakeholders within and outside of organization, including executive leadership, to understand customer issues and align solutions.
  • Directs teams to provide technical guidance and appropriately prioritize support to customers regarding reported issues.
  • Leads teams and sets direction to advocate for customers' interests and suggests product enhancements based on feedback.
  • Influences multiple teams to ensure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of issues and effective communication.
  • Directs the implementation of training for customer issue and/or defect handling processes.
  • Leads the investigation and troubleshooting of complex and broadly reaching product maintenance issues to ensure customer agreement on short- and long-term solutions.

Practices and Standards Compliance - Security and Compliance:
  • Collaborates with teams and leadership to establish, follow, and enforce documented security criteria, evolving/dynamic industry best practices and processes, and coding standards.

Development Operations - System Maintenance:
  • Defines key elements for teams to perform periodic maintenance and testing operations for systems that require upgrading or patching (e.g., for critical vulnerabilities).
  • Ensures teams are aware of and adhere to service contract, terms, and conditions.
  • Directs teams to proactively evolve standard operating procedures (SOP) for development and to drive improvements, ensures automation, testing, and debugging of systems to ensure service/product availability, health, support, and reliability.

Qualifications

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $122,500 to $355,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
