The Opportunity

Wilson Health is seeking a relationship-focused healthcare leader to serve as Director, Physician Practices for Wilson Health Medical Group. Reporting to the Vice President of Wilson Health Medical Group, this role provides strategic and operational leadership for primary and specialty care practices across multiple locations.

The Director will partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, Practice Managers, and organizational leaders to strengthen practice performance, improve access and quality, support growth, and translate strategy into consistent execution across multiple clinic settings.

What You Will Do
  • Provide strategic leadership for physician practices and align operational goals with Wilson Health priorities.
  • Lead and evaluate multi-site practice operations, promoting standardization, continuous improvement, productivity, and financial sustainability.
  • Develop business plans for existing and new services and identify opportunities to improve growth, access, quality, and performance.
  • Establish benchmarks and monitor operational, financial, clinical, and patient experience metrics; develop action plans when results vary from goals.
  • Oversee operating and capital budgets, staffing plans, expense management, and resource allocation for assigned practices.
  • Build strong partnerships with physicians and practice leadership to promote alignment, accountability, engagement, and achievement of practice goals.
  • Coach and develop Practice Managers and other practice leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness and operational performance.
  • Partner with physician recruitment and leadership on provider recruitment, onboarding, retention, contracts, amendments, and renewals.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, Revenue Cycle, Information Technology, and other support departments to advance practice and organizational priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies, and provide strategic recommendations to physician and executive leadership.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field required; master's degree preferred. Candidates not currently holding a master's degree must agree to enroll in a graduate program within six months of hire.
  • At least five years of relevant physician practice management or progressive healthcare leadership experience.
  • Experience leading multi-site, multi-specialty physician practices, ambulatory operations, clinics, or service lines preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of practice operations, financial management, physician relationships, performance improvement, and healthcare compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, develop leaders, influence change, resolve conflict, and translate strategy into action.
