The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer and strong operator who can translate partner needs into compelling journeys, campaigns, communications, and experiences that deepen engagement and support business growth.

Role
Partner Lifecycle Strategy
• Lead the partner lifecycle marketing strategy across onboarding, activation, engagement, growth, advocacy, and retention.
• Design partner journeys, engagement programs, and communications that are clear, relevant, and tailored to partner needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve the partner experience, remove friction, and increase participation in the program.
• Connect partner engagement strategies to business priorities, commercial growth, and long-term ecosystem value.
Engagement, Personalization & Digital Experience
• Create personalized engagement strategies across digital, email, web, portal, event, and community channels.
• Use data and insights to deliver more relevant content, experiences, and calls to action for different partner audiences.
• Partner with technology and operations teams to improve how partners discover, access, and engage with program benefits and resources.
• Test, learn, and optimize engagement strategies to improve partner response, satisfaction, and adoption.
Partner Community & Advocacy
• Build programs that strengthen partner connection, recognition, loyalty, and advocacy.
• Create opportunities for partners to share success stories, participate in thought leadership, and engage with Mastercard and one another.
• Develop campaigns and experiences that make partners feel informed, valued, and equipped to grow with Mastercard.
Insights, Measurement & Optimization
• Define success measures for partner engagement, activation, adoption, advocacy, satisfaction, and retention.
• Use partner feedback, behavioral data, and performance insights to improve the lifecycle experience.
• Turn insights into clear recommendations that help teams make better decisions and improve partner outcomes.
• Measure the impact of lifecycle marketing on partner growth, program value, and business performance.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Work across marketing, sales, product, partner, regional, and technology teams to bring partner engagement strategies to market.
• Influence and align stakeholders around a shared partner experience vision.
• Lead with clarity, accountability, and a strong bias for action in a global, matrixed environment.
• Ensure programs are scalable, consistent, and delivered with the quality expected of Mastercard.

Leadership Expectations
The Director, Partner Lifecycle Marketing & Experience will be expected to:
• Think strategically and execute with discipline.
• Champion the needs of partners and turn insight into action.
• Build strong relationships across teams, regions, and functions.
• Communicate clearly and influence at senior levels.
• Use data to improve performance and demonstrate impact.

All About You
• Experience in partner marketing, channel marketing, lifecycle marketing, customer experience, B2B marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience designing and scaling engagement, lifecycle, or customer/partner journey programs.
• Strong understanding of partner ecosystems, segmentation, personalization, digital engagement, and data-driven marketing.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a complex global organization.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, manage priorities, and lead teams or workstreams to measurable outcomes.
Preferred Experience
• Experience with global partner, channel, alliance, or ecosystem programs.
• Familiarity with partner portals, marketing automation, personalization tools, analytics, or digital engagement platforms.
• Experience supporting partner-sourced or partner-influenced growth.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in payments, technology, SaaS, cybersecurity, consulting, cloud, data, or fintech environments.
