We are seeking to hire candidates for our Director, Organizational Excellence (7337). Opening Date: 07/24/2026 Closing Date: 08/07/2026 Job Grade: SAM 43 Salary Range: $125,762.00-$157,196.00 OVERALL DESCRIPTION The Director of Organizational Excellence leverages the application of proven performance improvement methodologies to drive continuous improvement, operational effectiveness, and a culture of performance excellence across the organization. In coordination with business unit leaders, this position leads enterprise-wide initiatives to improve service delivery, optimize processes, and enhance organizational capacity. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and/or other continuous improvement methodologies across the organization. 2. Identify, prioritize, and lead high-impact process improvement projects. 3. Establish and maintain standard frameworks, tools, and governance for process improvement efforts. 4. Collaborate with business and operational leaders to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve service quality. 5. Promote consistent application of industry best practices across departments. 6. Lead organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and sustained adoption. 7. Build internal capability through training, coaching, and mentoring on continuous improvement principles. 8. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. 9. Build and lead a high-performing team of continuous improvement professionals. 10. Set clear goals, monitor performance, and support professional development. 11. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Operations Management, or a related field required. - Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent continuous improvement certification required. Previous demonstrated experience in leading process improvement initiatives in Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies, with a preference for the candidate to be certified at the Black Belt (or equivalent) level. - At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, strategy, or performance improvement required. - Strong operational and business acumen, with the ability to connect strategy to execution required. - Strong project and program management capabilities required. - Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and logical reasoning skills are required. - Experience within a large, complex organization preferred.
