Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Development & Business Growth- Develop and lead NEO Surgical Group's Workers' Compensation division throughout Florida.
- Identify, pursue, negotiate, and manage participation with Workers' Compensation networks, carriers, TPAs, managed care organizations, self-insured employers, and employer groups.
- Lead provider network applications, credentialing requirements, contracting, reimbursement discussions, onboarding, and ongoing account management.
- Build and maintain relationships with:
- Claims Adjusters
- Nurse Case Managers
- Case Management Companies
- Risk Managers
- Employers
- Occupational Health Providers
- Attorneys
- Workers' Compensation Stakeholders
- Create and implement market-specific growth strategies for all NEO locations.
Operations & Program Development- Design and implement operational workflows for Workers' Compensation patients.
- Develop processes involving:
- Scheduling
- Authorizations
- Medical Records
- Work Status Reporting
- Communication Standards
- Referral Management
- Billing Coordination
- Patient Follow-Up
- Collaborate closely with physicians, clinic leadership, surgery centers, imaging departments, rehabilitation providers, and billing teams.
- Ensure injured workers receive timely, coordinated, high-quality care.
Leadership & Performance Management- Monitor and analyze:
- Referral Volume
- Authorization Turnaround Times
- Conversion Rates
- Reimbursement Performance
- Denials
- Accounts Receivable
- Department Profitability
- Develop performance metrics and reporting processes.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise future Workers' Compensation coordinators and support staff.
- Represent NEO Surgical Group at industry events, networking functions, and business development meetings throughout Florida.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in:
- Florida Workers' Compensation
- Provider Relations
- Network Development
- Occupational Medicine
- Orthopedic or Spine Healthcare
- Pain Management
- Rehabilitation Services
- Surgery Center Operations
- Managed Care
- Demonstrated success generating Workers' Compensation referrals or obtaining network participation.
- Existing experience working with:
- Carriers
- TPAs
- Adjusters
- Nurse Case Managers
- Employers
- Managed Care Organizations
- Provider Networks
- Strong understanding of the complete Workers' Compensation patient lifecycle, including:
- Referrals
- Authorizations
- Utilization Review
- Work Status Documentation
- Medical Records
- Billing
- Denials
- Collections
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and develop strategic growth initiatives.
- Willingness to travel regularly to locations throughout Florida.
Preferred Qualifications- Existing Florida Workers' Compensation referral relationships.
- Experience with occupational medicine or employer-directed care programs.
- Experience leading provider relations, business development, or Workers' Compensation departments.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience working within orthopedic, spine, pain management, physical therapy, imaging, or surgical environments.
