You will shape the future of high-efficiency compressor controls by owning the end-to-end software strategy for Danfoss Turbocor. Your leadership will directly influence product performance, reliability, and scalability across our global portfolio.

Working closely with peers across hardware, mechatronics, product management, and operations, you will help define how our next generation of products is built, connected, and secured.

This is an on-site role based at our Turbocor Global Headquarters in Tallahassee, FL

What You'll Be Doing

  • Define and lead the multi-year software technology roadmap to align architecture, platforms, and capabilities with business and product strategy.
  • Provide architectural leadership across embedded, tools, and connected systems to ensure scalability, safety, cybersecurity, and reuse.
  • Build and develop a strong leadership bench by mentoring engineering managers and senior technical leaders and shaping a high-performing global organization.
  • Set clear standards for software quality and delivery so teams consistently deliver reliable, safety-critical software on time and on budget.
  • Represent software engineering at the leadership level by partnering cross-functionally, engaging with key customers and partners, and communicating risks and opportunities.


What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience leading embedded software development, with deep hands-on expertise in real-time systems and C/C++ for complex, hardware-integrated products.
  • Proven senior engineering leadership, including experience leading other engineering managers and building, scaling, and sustaining high-performing software organizations.
  • Strong system-level and architectural capability, with mastery of software-hardware interaction, multithreading, event-driven design, and real-time operating systems in safety-critical or mission-critical environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute multi-year technology roadmaps that translate business and product strategy into scalable, future-ready software platforms.
  • Solid business and delivery acumen, including ownership of budgets, resource planning, and accountability for high-quality software delivery across the full development lifecycle.


Nice to Have / Preferred
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on architectural experience across RTOS and Embedded Linux environments, including platform reuse and scalability.
  • Background in control systems, motor control, PID loops, DSP, or industrial automation.
  • Experience applying functional safety and product cybersecurity principles in regulated or safety-critical environments.
  • Prior development of embedded software for electromechanical products such as compressors, pumps, or industrial HVAC systems.
