The Role. We recognize that a relentless, high-performing sales organization is critical to taking our business to the next level. At Ria, our mission is to be the most progressive money transfer company in the world-delivering service excellence and the most competitive, reliable remittance solutions to our customers. As Director of Sales, you will lead our South-Central Division and oversee a team of 2 Regional Managers, 8 Territorial Managers, and 2+ Sales Managers. The ideal candidate will be based in a major market within the South-Central United States (this is not a remote role) and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Your Mission

Strategic & Commercial Leadership
  • The Director of Sales will own full P&L responsibility, driving market penetration, P&L performance, transaction volume, revenue, and EBIT growth across the division.
  • Set clear sales targets and lead strategy execution to expand market share and profitability.
  • Identify service quality gaps and implement improvements to enhance customer and agent experience.
  • Consistently achieve individual and team sales goals using Ria's sales and marketing frameworks.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing, collaborative sales culture that consistently exceeds targets.
  • Partner closely with the broader Sales Management Team to align strategy and execution.
  • Lead all aspects of talent management, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Oversee training and development programs to ensure excellence in sales execution, policies, and procedures.

Sales Operations & Market Expansion
  • Manage a complex, high-impact P&L, ensuring delivery against key financial and operational metrics.
  • Analyze performance trends and competitive intelligence to inform strategy and identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute expansion plans, optimizing resource allocation to maximize impact.
  • Design and implement sales, pricing, marketing, and merchandising strategies to achieve revenue and profit goals.
  • Drive new business development by cultivating relationships, negotiating, and acquiring new agents.
  • Maintain deep market and competitive awareness, including emerging products and industry trends.
  • Identify and resolve service quality issues to strengthen business performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Monthly deal completion incentives.
  • Incremental wire volume achievement.
  • Gross profit contribution.
  • Retention and implementation milestones.

What You'll Bring
  • You must have at least 7-10 years of sales experience, including leadership and management of high-performing sales teams.
  • Prior experience in the Money Transfer industry is required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Demonstrated track record as a top individual contributor, consistently delivering results in high-pressure, metric-driven environments.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Data-driven and strategic thinker with the ability to lead through influence and provide thought leadership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems and reporting.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills; able to work independently.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends in support of events or agent needs.
  • Ability to travel daily within the assigned region.
  • Physically capable of carrying materials (up to 25 lbs.) and able to drive for extended periods.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Must be located in Texas, ideally in a major city.
