Full Job Description
Job Summary

Grand View Lodge is looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Director of Sales to lead the resort's full-time sales function. You'll guide sales across leisure, group, conference, wedding, catering, and business travel markets, develop a capable team, and strengthen revenue in peak and off-peak seasons. Working with resort leaders and corporate marketing, you'll turn client relationships and market insight into results across the full resort experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales across leisure, transient, business travel, group, conference, wedding, and catering markets in peak and off-peak seasons.
  • Develop and execute strategies for rooms, banquets, catering, and meeting-space revenue with revenue and operating leaders.
  • Recruit, coach, and manage sales and conference services teams; set clear goals, expectations, and accountability.
  • Build key-account relationships, pursue new opportunities, and guide solicitation, booking, and client follow-through.
  • Set annual sales quotas and volume projections, recommend pricing and rates, and evaluate field sales action plans.
  • Forecast sales, prepare budgets, analyze variances, and monitor costs to support resort profitability.
  • Ensure proposals, bookings, and conference service handoffs meet client expectations and revenue goals.
  • Resolve group and attendee concerns involving billing, reservations, or service with the responsible teams.
  • Share sales and market insights with corporate marketing to inform brand, digital, social media, and distribution initiatives.
  • Cross-promote other Cote Hospitality properties when they fit client needs and business opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you bring:
  • 7-10 years of sales or marketing leadership experience in a resort, hospitality, or closely related business.
  • A bachelor's degree in hospitality sales or a related field; an MBA in sales or marketing is preferred.
  • Proven success developing sales teams, building key accounts, and achieving revenue goals.
  • Sound judgment in forecasting, budgeting, pricing recommendations, and cost management.
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, with discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience supporting multiple properties in different markets is beneficial.
  • Willingness to work varied hours and periodic holidays as business needs require.
