What you will do:- The Director of Sales is responsible for bringing purpose and a plan of action for customer accounts. The role will manage a team of Sales professionals that sell products for various manufacturers or distributors to business establishments
- This position works closely with and builds strong relationships with customers, partners, and cross functional teams. As a member of the sales leadership team, the incumbent is expected to manage their book of business and make effective decisions that support sustainable growth.
- Develop self and others - assign and accept challenging assignments to expand professional knowledge and capabilities of self and others
- Embody personal leadership qualities that are in line with our cultural 10 Principles to drive behavior and language that promotes respect and accountability
- Ensure Sales team makes consistent sales calls on assigned accounts
- Reviews performance of the Sales team as it relates to overall sales goals
- Survey new potential account and existing account on a regular basis
- Develop strong customer and vendor relationships
- Ability to partner and work cross functional with internal support teams
- Analyze changes in the market conditions as they apply to territory
- Develop broad product knowledge to assist customer with product application
- Develop annual budget and manage overall department P&L
- Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
What you will bring:- Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University
- 10+ years' in managing professionals, preferably in Sales Management; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record of directing, developing and managing people
- Drive continual improvement through ongoing training and mentoring
- Possess the attitude of wanting to learn, teach and lead
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and other leaders
- Strong planning, execution, and analytical skills
- Ability to identify and communicate customer financial problems to Upper Management
- Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to travel locally and nationally when required
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary business information
Location:This role is based in Fresno, CA
Work hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Salary Range:- This is an exempt position that pays $179,933 - $211,966 annually.This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
