Summary:
Grand Hyatt San Francisco is seeking a strategic, analytical, and results-driven Director of Revenue Management to lead the hotel's revenue strategy. This position is responsible for maximizing overall hotel revenue through pricing, inventory management, forecasting, market analysis, business mix optimization, and strategic partnership with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Reservations, and Operations.

Located in the heart of San Francisco, Grand Hyatt San Francisco serves a dynamic mix of business travelers, leisure guests, corporate accounts, groups, meetings, and citywide demand. The Director of Revenue Management will play a critical role in identifying revenue opportunities, strengthening market positioning, and driving commercial performance in a competitive urban hotel environment.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative commercial leader with strong revenue management expertise, sound business judgment, and the ability to translate data and market insights into actionable strategies.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the overall revenue management strategy for Grand Hyatt San Francisco.
• Develop and execute pricing, inventory, yielding, and restriction strategies to maximize rooms revenue, RevPAR, market share, and profitability.
• Analyze demand trends, booking pace, market conditions, competitive set performance, segmentation, channel production, and business mix.
• Lead weekly revenue strategy meetings and provide clear recommendations to hotel leadership and commercial teams.
• Prepare, review, and update forecasts for occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, rooms revenue, and market segments.
• Monitor daily pickup, cancellations, no-shows, length of stay patterns, room type demand, group wash, and booking trends.
• Manage room inventory, availability, rate plans, restrictions, packages, room types, and distribution channels.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to evaluate group opportunities, negotiated accounts, promotional strategies, corporate demand, local accounts, and citywide events.
• Conduct displacement analysis for group, contract, and special business opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Director of Sales, Marketing, and Events to align pricing, sales strategy, marketing initiatives, and revenue goals.
• Partner with Reservations and Front Office to support inventory controls, oversell strategy, room type management, booking accuracy, and guest impact.
• Analyze channel performance and support strategies to optimize direct bookings, third-party production, distribution costs, and overall profitability.
• Maintain awareness of San Francisco market trends, competitive activity, citywide compression, convention calendars, local events, business travel patterns, and economic conditions.
• Identify revenue risks and opportunities across transient, group, contract, wholesale, consortia, corporate, and other market segments.
• Support annual budgeting, business planning, monthly forecasting, and financial review processes.
• Prepare and present revenue reports, analysis, forecasts, and performance updates to hotel leadership and ownership stakeholders as needed.
• Ensure rate loading, content accuracy, availability, and distribution integrity across systems and channels.
• Partner with Finance and Operations to understand profitability, labor impacts, and operational considerations tied to revenue strategy.
• Monitor performance against budget, forecast, competitive set, and market share goals.
• Support Hyatt revenue management standards, systems, tools, policies, and best practices.
• Develop and mentor revenue, reservations, or commercial colleagues as assigned.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by hotel or commercial leadership.

This is a salaried position with compensation ranging from $142,300-$189,750.

Qualifications:
• Previous revenue management leadership experience required.
• Previous experience as a Director of Revenue Management, Revenue Manager, Area Revenue Manager, or similar hotel revenue leadership role strongly preferred.
• Experience in a full-service hotel, luxury hotel, convention hotel, urban hotel, or high-volume hospitality environment strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of hotel revenue management principles, including forecasting, pricing, inventory controls, segmentation, channel strategy, displacement analysis, and business mix optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
• Strong knowledge of transient, group, corporate, wholesale, consortia, contract, and negotiated market segments.
• Experience partnering with Sales, Marketing, Reservations, Front Office, Finance, and Operations teams.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue analysis, profitability, and market share performance.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate revenue strategy clearly to different audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with systems, reports, forecasts, and data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, revenue management systems, property management systems, central reservation systems, and business intelligence platforms.
• Experience with Hyatt systems and revenue management tools preferred.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with hotel and corporate teams.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including occasional evenings, weekends, or high-demand periods.
