We have an exciting opportunity foraDirector of Quantitative InsightsatUL Standards & Engagement.This is a hybrid opportunity based inourWashington,DCoffice.

TheDirector of Quantitative Insightswill oversee the full lifecycle of quantitative research and insights initiatives to advance the UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) mission to create a safer, more secure, and more sustainable world. The Director of Quantitative Insights will lead the design, execution and evolution of quantitative assessment initiatives that generate original data, and translate findings into meaningful, actionable insights. As a subject matter expert, the Director of Quantitative Insights will contribute to the broader enterprise insights strategy and partner across the organization toidentifyresearch needs, shape quantitative and periodically mixed methods research plans, and deliver high-quality analysis that informs decision making. As a people leader, the Director of Quantitative Insights will lead and mentor a high-performing team that will advance quantitative research and analysisobjectives.

  • Define and advance quantitative research and insightsstrategythatelevatesULSEs visibility, credibility, and mission impact. Implementapproachto capitalize on identified opportunities and drive the organizations influence within the safety standards landscape.

  • Lead development and execution of quantitative research initiatives that assess awareness, understanding, opportunities,perceptionsand organizational impact through original data generation and analysis.

  • Manage full lifecycle of projects, including research design, instrument development, sampling approach, fielding, analysis,interpretationand reporting.

  • Determineand applyappropriate quantitativemethodologies and analytical frameworks to address research questions, support decision making, and strengthen the quality and relevance of findings.

  • Analyze and interpret research data toidentifymeaningful patterns, trends, and opportunities, translatefindings into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Verify the integrity, accuracy, and methodical soundness of data and analysis, ensuring research outputs are credible,defensibleand aligned with set standards.

  • Produce and deliver clear, compelling reports, presentations, and other research outputs tailored to varied stakeholder audiences.

  • Represent ULSE at industry-related functions such as conferences,seminarsand trade shows. Present technical content for diverse audiences including committees, working groups, and other stakeholder forums.

  • Seve as strategic advisor to senior leadership and contribute to cross-functional planning, thought leadership development, and organizational storytelling. Balance long term strategic initiatives with responsive execution tied to emerging issues and opportunities.

  • Partner with subject matter experts to ensure our insights efforts are unified, strategic, and impactful, while elevating relevance for industry leaders,regulatorsand the public.

  • Lead and developteamof insights professionals, provide strategicdirectionand serve as mentor to advance capabilities inareaof specialization. Cultivatecollaborativeenvironment to ensure team success and effective execution of high-quality content.

  • Foster a culture of creativity, purpose, and accountability within the team.

  • Maintaincontinued awareness of industry trends, offering insight to inform strategic decisions and direction of thestandardsengagement function.

  • Contribute to department initiatives as needed.
