Full Job Description
The Director of Product & Data Strategy is responsible for the strategy, implementation, and management of enterprise business systems, AI products, and data platforms across the organization. This role ensures that enterprise applications, such as Salesforce, and collaboration tools operate securely, reliably, and at scale, while also driving a modern data strategy that enables analytics, reporting, and business insights.

This role operates with a product management mindset: treating enterprise applications and data platforms as internal products, owning their roadmaps, prioritizing based on business value, and driving measurable adoption and outcomes.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise Applications Leadership - - - - - -

  • Lead the strategy, roadmap, and operations of enterprise applications.
  • Own the enterprise applications roadmap as a product portfolio, prioritizing features, integrations, and technical debt against business value and effort (using RICE or value-vs-effort frameworks).
  • Partner with business leaders to translate functional requirements into technology solutions.
  • Run structured discovery with business stakeholders, interviews, journey mapping, and requirements workshops to validate needs before committing engineering resources.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, licensing, upgrades, and integrations across the application ecosystem.
  • Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and scalability standards.


Data Strategy & Governance - - - - -

  • Develop and execute the organization's data strategy, including governance, quality, security, and accessibility.
  • Oversee enterprise data platforms (data warehouse, data lakes, reporting, and analytic tools).
  • Drive adoption of self-service BI and analytics across the business.
  • Define and track adoption and value metrics for data and BI initiatives (dashboard usage, self-service query volume, data quality scores) and use them to prioritize the platform backlog.
  • Establish policies for data ownership, stewardship, and lifecycle management.


Innovation & Transformation - - - - -

  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics to transform business processes.
  • Lead modernization initiatives, including consolidation of data platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Technology & Innovation and other technology leaders to align enterprise systems with digital transformation initiatives.
  • Apply structured product discovery and validation (pilots, MVPs, phased rollouts) when introducing new platforms or capabilities, to de-risk investment before full-scale rollout.
  • Own Product Management responsibilities for LiveNexus products including roadmap, requirements definition, backlog prioritization, and release planning, in partnership with engineering and design.


Leadership & Collaboration - - - -

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of application administrators, data engineers, and BI specialists.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration between IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and project portfolios effectively.
  • Act as product owner for cross-functional stakeholders, balancing competing requests across business units through a transparent, criteria-based prioritization process.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience in product management or data platform leadership, including 4+ years owning a product roadmap at an organizational level.
  • Experience owning a product roadmap and backlog, whether internal or external, including requirements definition, prioritization frameworks such as RICE or MoSCoW, and release planning.
  • Experience defining and tracking product or platform success metrics (adoption, quality, usage) and iterating based on outcomes.
  • Experience developing and executing a data strategy, including governance, quality, security, and accessibility.
  • Experience with data platforms and BI/analytics tools, such as data warehouses, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, and driving self-service BI adoption across business teams.
  • Familiarity with enterprise CRM/ERP platforms, such as Salesforce, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, administered directly or overseen through a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.

  • Formal Product Management or Product Owner experience on a customer-facing SaaS or AI product, including go-to-market coordination with Sales, Marketing, or Customer Success.
