Position Overview


Responsible for developing objectives, policies, and procedures for the purchasing/procurement/sourcing of goods and services encompassing all purchasing functions organization-wide, often including multiple facilities.  Responsible for formulating and communicating the organization's purchasing programs for services, software, component parts, equipment, and supplies.  May also direct the purchase of supplies and services for non-production departments.  Has comprehensive knowledge of the marketplace.  Typically in larger organizations, this is a manager level.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the strategy for optimizing TruGreen's $650 million indirect spend (i.e. Sales & Marketing, HR, IT, communications, travel, uniforms, etc.). 
  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships with BU and functional VP’s and other leaders to ensure alignment of objectives and priorities with the BU’s. 
  • Develop and drive compliance with indirect spend buying policies and procedures. Drive continuous improvement in process control, automation, and innovation.  
  • Develop and implement best practices for managing all indirect spend activities including standardization of specs, spend aggregation, supplier consolidation, demand reduction, supply chain optimization, and inventory control to control costs and maximize value. 
  • Develop and coach associates. 
  • Perform financial planning and analysis to identify value improvement opportunities for the indirect spend categories and to support the business units.
  • Manage relationships and performance with indirect spend suppliers

Education and Experience Requirements

  •  A bachelor's degree is required and a master's degree is strongly preferred.  
  • 15 years of demonstrated success in leading automation in financial, technology, and/or purchasing processes across diverse businesses and cultures.
  •  Demonstrated success in building relationships with senior leaders and providing value/synergy between business needs and technological innovation.  
  • Proven ability to lead people, projects, and process changes.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of sourcing and category management concepts, principles, practices, and strategies

Pay Ranges
$136,815.00 - $228,024.00

This range is based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer benefits, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance and Company-matching 401(k) in addition to other programs and perks.
