SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Director of Procurement leads the sourcing, procurement, distribution, and quality assurance functions to minimize overall purchasing costs without compromising quality or reliability of supply. They assist with the development of the overall supply chain strategy; establish purchasing budgets, plans, policies, systems, and procedures to achieve strategic objectives. This role identifies, evaluates, and capitalizes on opportunities to reduce purchasing costs. They work to improve CPK's buying patterns and supply channels by evaluating, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships to secure terms that are in the best interest of the company.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Set the vision, strategic direction, expectations, and annual objectives for supply chain and procurement.
• Develop and execute strategies to source products and services in alignment with the company.
• Foster and manage strategic vendor relationships to align sourcing and process improvement strategies and plans.
• Leverage spend resources and technologies to reduce costs while maintaining quality.
• Oversee the supply chain management process to ensure restaurants receive the right products, in the right place, at the right price.
• Evaluate economic trends, environment, and conditions that may affect both short-term and long-term purchasing; provide insight and guidance on cost fluctuations to the CPK senior management team.
• Manage the order process and transportation of limited time offers in accordance with the marketing plan.
• Evaluate procurement processes and procedures; design and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of procurement capabilities.
• Drive innovation and the development of potential new suppliers and alternative sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Training, Culinary, Marketing, Finance, and IT, to integrate supply chain processes with overall business objectives and initiatives.
• Collaborate with the executive team to strategically plan and establish goals and targets for the company.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• A bachelor's degree and /or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• 5 years' related purchasing experience.
• Experience in logistics analysis and implementation of reduced landed costs within distribution network a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of the marketplace.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task effectively and manage changing priorities.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Frequent exposure to computers.
• Noise level and temperature are moderate.
• Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours a day.
• Occasionally required to stoop, bend, or kneel, lift up to 25 lbs.
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The current salary pay range for this role is: $160,000 - $175,000
