Responsibilities

Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Director of Photography (DP) with deep experience in the film or television industry to lead the visual execution of our productions. The DP will collaborate closely with directors, producers, and crew to design, capture, and elevate the visual style of each project-ensuring that every frame aligns with the creative vision, technical requirements, and production goals.

This role is ideal for a seasoned cinematographer who is passionate about lighting, composition, and storytelling through the lens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the visual lead on productions, overseeing lighting, camera, and composition decisions
  • Collaborate with directors and producers to develop the visual look and tone of each project
  • Scout locations and assess lighting and shooting conditions in advance
  • Select and operate appropriate camera systems, lenses, filters, rigs, and other gear.
  • Build and supervise the camera department and grip/electric teams
  • Manage on-set lighting design and camera setups for various shoot formats (commercial, narrative, branded content, sports content etc.)
  • Ensure technical excellence in footage, including exposure, focus, and frame composition
  • Monitor footage quality during shoots and coordinate with DITs or post teams as needed
  • Support creative problem-solving in the field under tight deadlines or shifting conditions
  • Able to keep on track and deadlines with call sheet timing for each shoot day.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of cinematic trends, equipment, and workflows


Qualifications
  • 6+ years of professional experience as a DP, cinematographer, or camera operator in the film or commercial industry
  • Demonstrated expertise with industry-standard cameras (e.g., Arri, RED, Sony, Canon, etc.), lighting, and grip equipment
  • Strong portfolio or reel showcasing a range of visual styles and storytelling formats
  • In-depth knowledge of lighting design, camera movement, and shot composition
  • Experience working in both controlled environments and field/on-location shoots
  • Ability to lead a crew and communicate effectively with directors and producers
  • Familiarity with color grading workflows, LUTs, and working with post-production teams
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable adapting to various budgets and timelines while maintaining a cinematic standard
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours based on production schedules
