As Director of Operations Thomsen Foodservice, you will play a central role in shaping day-to-day operational performance and helping the business maintain the service standards customers rely on. This role is suited to a leader who can bring structure, accountability, and continuous improvement to a fast-moving distribution environment while partnering across multiple operational functions.
Responsibilities- Oversee warehouse, transportation, and beverage systems to maintain service levels.
- Drive initiatives that improve service levels, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
- Lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and profitability.
- Lead and mentor leaders and mentors across warehouse, transportation, and beverage teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, productivity, and customer service.
- Warehouse Operations
- Oversee inventory management, order fulfillment, and quality control processes.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and company policies.
- Monitor KPIs related to accuracy, throughput, and labor efficiency.
- Transportation Management
- Direct fleet operations, route planning, and delivery schedules to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure DOT compliance and maintain driver safety programs.
- Manage transportation costs and negotiate vendor contracts as needed.
- Beverage Systems Oversight
- Financial & Compliance
- Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs without compromising service.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior leadership.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications- 7+ years of experience leading foodservice distribution or multi-site operations teams.
- Experience managing warehouse processes and inventory control processes.
- Strong track record of improving service levels, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Hands-on experience with WMS and inventory control systems.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience managing transportation processes and route delivery environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
