ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily operations of geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and related service lines within the region.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation, workload balancing, and optimization of staffing, equipment, and scheduling.
- Maintain operational excellence through strong project execution, quality assurance, safety practices, and compliance with industry standards.
- Implement consistent processes, workflows, and best practices across offices and project teams.
- Own the region’s P&L performance, including revenue, expenses, utilization, and operating cash metrics.
- Lead medium- to large-scale initiatives that improve systems, tools, and operational capabilities.
- Monitor business performance and take action to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Drive cost efficiency, pricing discipline, and responsible growth.
- Support and drive long-range growth strategies through business development collaboration, and client relationship management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop regional managers, project managers, engineers, and technicians.
- In partnership with HR, drive recruitment, retention, succession planning, and employee development efforts for critical roles.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, inclusive environment that supports employee engagement and career growth.
- Model and reinforce leadership behaviors that promote teamwork and accountability.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety programs and regulatory requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETANCIES:
- Experience leading multiple business units, regions, or large multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to manage complex situations and competing priorities.
- Skilled in client relationship management.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering practices, ASTM/AASHTO standards, construction materials testing operations and project delivery.
- Ability to drive accountability, foster collaboration, and promote a positive culture.
- Experience in gaining alignment, building trust and leading change across a geographical region.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience and/or Training 12+ years of progressive experience in Engineering & Testing industry, including 5 years in a leadership role.
Licenses/Certificates PE license in state of Texas preferred. Valid Driver’s license is required.

Compensation Range:
$137,000.00 - $205,000.00
