Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota or ability to obtain promptly.

  • Prior supervisory experience or DON/ADON is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing home regulations and survey processes.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all nursing services for quality, resident-centered care.
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, providing necessary guidance and mentorship.
  • Maintain appropriate nursing staffing levels, collaborating on scheduling and recruitment.
  • Serve on the facility's leadership team and Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement Committee.
  • Lead daily clinical meetings and morning stand-ups.
  • Ensure completion of resident assessments and documentation as per requirements.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and incidents, implementing corrective actions when necessary.

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our team of healthcare professionals at the Hopkins Restorative Care Center, a premier healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Registered Nurse Director, you will play a vital role in shaping our healthcare facility's nursing practices, ensuring high-quality patient care, and promoting a positive work environment for our staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our nursing team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and our organization's policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement effective nursing care plans, ensuring patient-centered care and improved patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care services
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and mentoring to our nursing staff
  • Foster a culture of open communication, teamwork, and continuous learning
  • Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to optimize staffing and operations
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, sharing best practices and knowledge with the team


Requirements:
  • Current RN license in the state of Minnesota
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
