Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team and oversee all nursing operations within our skilled nursing and subacute facility. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proven nursing leader who is committed to delivering exceptional resident care, fostering staff development, and maintaining regulatory excellence.
As the Director of Nursing, you will play a vital role in shaping clinical outcomes, supporting our dedicated nursing team, and driving a culture of quality, accountability, and compassion.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight of all nursing services and clinical operations.
- Ensure the highest standards of resident care and clinical excellence.
- Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing nursing team, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Department of Health requirements.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention programs, and clinical performance metrics.
- Prepare for and successfully manage state surveys and regulatory inspections.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure outstanding resident outcomes.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, labor management, and departmental budgets.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on resident-centered care.
Qualifications- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Subacute Rehabilitation setting.
- Prior experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing preferred.
- Strong understanding of CMS regulations, Department of Health survey processes, and quality assurance programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
