Director of Materials Management

Finger Lakes Health is seeking an experienced and collaborative Director of Materials Management to provide leadership and oversight for critical supply chain and materials management operations.

In this key leadership role, you will oversee the efficient, cost-effective acquisition, utilization, distribution, and maintenance of equipment and supplies throughout the health system. The position has responsibility for areas including purchasing, receiving, storage and distribution, inventory control, forms management, printing, capital budget tracking, courier services, and mail services.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $124,000 - $168,000

Salary is based on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do

As the Director of Materials Management, you will:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for Materials Management operations.
  • Oversee purchasing, receiving, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities.
  • Lead and support key members of the Materials Management leadership team.
  • Ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition and utilization of equipment and supplies throughout the organization.
  • Develop and implement product standardization and evaluation programs across the health system.
  • Develop quality assurance programs for Materials Management services, including purchasing, supply distribution, central services, and case cart systems.
  • Monitor purchasing performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage multiple priorities while promoting collaboration, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Travel between multiple locations as needed to support system-wide operations.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5-7 years of Materials Management experience.
  • Experience with automated materials management systems.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and budget management experience.
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Ability to travel between multiple locations during the workday as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in business or a related field.
  • Experience with Meditech Materials Management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
