The Global Marketing Director, MDx within Waters Advanced Diagnostics (ADx) is a senior commercial and marketing leader responsible for shaping how our molecular diagnostic solutions are positioned, activated, and scaled across Women's Health and Infectious Disease in regulated global clinical markets. This leader will guide a high-performing global team to translate product value propositions into compelling customer-facing strategies, accelerate demand generation, strengthen funnel performance, and equip regional commercial teams with the tools, campaigns, and messaging needed to win in the market.
The role is accountable for driving global marketing excellence and business momentum in close partnership with regional commercial leaders, product management, medical and scientific affairs, and other cross-functional stakeholders. Success in this role will come from delivering clear solution messaging, high-impact campaigns, strong launch execution, effective sales enablement, and disciplined performance management that expands pipeline, improves conversion, and supports sustainable franchise growth-while ensuring role clarity and tight alignment with Product Management on portfolio direction and roadmap priorities.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads the global marketing strategy and execution for the MDx solutions portfolio across Women's Health and Infectious Disease, ensuring strong market visibility, customer relevance, and commercial impact across regulated clinical markets.
  • Develops and deploys global go-to-market strategies, positioning, messaging, campaign frameworks, and launch activation plans that translate product capabilities into differentiated customer value.
  • Drives demand generation and funnel acceleration through integrated marketing programs, digital and field campaigns, customer engagement strategies, and rigorous performance tracking in partnership with regional commercial teams.
  • Partners closely with regional commercial leaders to equip the field with high-quality tools, content, training, and sales enablement resources that improve opportunity creation, progression, and win rates.
  • Works in close partnership with Product Management to ensure marketing strategies, campaigns, and launch plans are aligned to portfolio priorities, roadmap timing, product claims, and customer value propositions without duplicating product ownership responsibilities.
  • Leads global launch commercialization readiness for new offerings in collaboration with Product Management and cross-functional teams, ensuring consistent messaging, field preparedness, and coordinated market activation.
  • Uses market insights, customer feedback, funnel analytics, competitive intelligence, and campaign performance data to refine marketing strategies, improve execution, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Builds strong relationships with customers, key opinion leaders, and external stakeholders to strengthen market understanding, support commercial credibility, and enhance the relevance of customer-facing marketing programs.
  • Partners with Medical and Scientific Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, and Legal stakeholders to ensure promotional content, external messaging, and campaign materials are accurate, compliant, and aligned to market requirements.
  • Drives business performance through disciplined marketing planning, budget management, KPI tracking, and operating rigor, with clear accountability for pipeline contribution, campaign effectiveness, and commercial support.
  • Leads and develops a high-performing global marketing team, building capabilities in solution marketing, digital activation, content strategy, campaign excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.

Position Requirements:
  • Ten or more years of progressive marketing, commercial, or go-to-market leadership experience in molecular diagnostics, IVD, medical devices, life sciences, or adjacent regulated healthcare markets, including experience leading and developing high-performing teams in matrixed global organizations.
  • Demonstrated success developing global marketing strategies, translating customer and market insight into effective commercialization programs, and delivering measurable business impact across complex global markets.
  • Strong strategic and organizational leadership skills with the ability to set direction, lead through transformation, simplify complexity, and build alignment across senior cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Deep customer orientation and the ability to engage credibly with key opinion leaders, laboratory leaders, clinical stakeholders, external partners, and senior executives to shape strategy and influence outcomes.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority across product management, R&D, regions, medical and scientific affairs, regulatory, finance, and commercial teams to drive decisions and execution.
  • Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and decision-making skills, with the ability to frame complex issues clearly for diverse audiences including senior leadership.
  • Experience working across global regions and varying market maturity levels, with a practical understanding of how to balance global consistency with regional flexibility.
  • Experience in regulated diagnostic environments is strongly preferred, including familiarity with evidence expectations, reimbursement considerations, and global market access or regulatory dynamics.
  • Flexibility to travel globally up to 30% of the time.
