DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

OVERVIEW:
DeSales University, in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, is a Catholic, private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university. Founded by the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales in 1964, the 550-acre suburban campus is located about 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 90 miles southwest of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,000 includes undergraduate day, evening, and graduate students. DeSales has approximately 130 full-time faculty members and offers 50 bachelor's degrees, 14 graduate programs, and a number of certificates in a wide range of disciplines.

POSITON SUMMARY:
The Director of Marketing is responsible for the strategy and implementation of multi-channel marketing efforts designed to drive demand for a DeSales University education. This individual must have a rich knowledge of digital and traditional marketing and expertise in the development of marketing campaigns across platforms. The director works collaboratively to ensure marketing efforts align with the enrollment goals of the undergraduate, adult, and graduate programs. The director has two direct reports which include the assistant director of marketing and content manager. This role also requires oversight of outside partners including a media buyer, copywriters, photographers, and designers.
Key performance indicators in this role include inquiry quality and volume; stakeholder satisfaction; timely and thorough communication; strong initiative and project follow-through

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred in communications, marketing, or management
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in marketing, digital strategy and or enrollment management, with a strong preference for experience in higher education setting, and/or digital content management experience, preferably in higher education
  • Proven track record of managing multi-channel brand campaigns that drive measurable results (lead generation and conversion)
  • Direct experience managing digital advertising budgets and platforms, including Google Ads and Meta Business Suite
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital advertising tools (Google, Meta)
  • Technical proficiency in CRM (specifically Slate) and web Content Management Systems (CMS) is required
  • Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity
