Position Summary: Cooperatively manage all aspects of Athletics marketing to include strategic branding and marketing, social media platforms/digital strategies, game day experience, fan engagement, promotions, attendance enhancement, student participation and faculty/staff involvement. Identify and maximize opportunities to generate revenue. Direct and manage Athletics special events and future calendar of events. Collaborate with Ticket Office Operations, Student Life, and the Nation Student Fan Group regarding student attendance at all Athletics events. Work closely with Playfly on fulfillment of all partnership agreements. Work closely with university staff, VAF, Legends and Alumni Relations.
Duties and Responsibilities: Strategic Marketing & Branding:- Develop and direct the implementation of a strategic branding and marketing campaign for the Athletics Department.
- Enhance ticket sales and attendance at events.
- Maximize the reach of Villanova Athletics, Villanova Sports Network, and the Villanova Athletic Fund.
- Maintain relations with media partners; determine appropriate promotional and public relations campaigns.
- Create, develop, and implement plans aimed at generating publicity, fan engagement, and revenue for Women's Basketball and Football.
Event & Game Day Marketing:- Direct in-game marketing efforts to maximize fan engagement and game-day atmosphere for Women's Basketball and Football.
- Assist with in-game promotions at Men's Basketball home games.
- Oversee Villanova Cheer and Mascot Program.
- Manage relationships with the University Band and Dance Teams, including their performances at Athletics events.
Social Media & Digital Marketing:- Oversee marketing and social media management of select Olympic Sports.
- Collaborate with Playfly and the Villanova Athletic Fund in promoting sponsor and donor-related events.
Alumni Relations & Special Events:- Work closely with alumni in planning activities and programs, especially those tied to major campus functions and postseason events.
- Assist with planning and directing select special Athletic Department events.
Internship Program Management:- Assist with management of post-graduate and undergraduate marketing internship program.
Other:- Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Formal Education:- Bachelor's Degree required.
Work Experience:- 5 years of marketing experience.
Work Skills:- Proven ability to work effectively with many different personalities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Specific Job Knowledge:- A broad-based knowledge of sports marketing including strategic planning and implementation; branding knowledge to include brand awareness campaigns; Knowledge of the advertising industry and trends to maximize media buys.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Website and social media development to include marketing, video streaming, subscription-based services and retail sales.
- Working knowledge of photoshop to assist with graphic design.
Equipment Knowledge:- Proficiency with personal computer applications, as well as a solid understanding of social media, internet and e-business solutions.
Other:- Significant number of evening and weekend hours required.
Preferred Qualifications: Formal Education:- Master's Degree preferred (sports management or related field).
Work Skills:- Strong graphic design skills preferred.

Closing Date (11:59pm ET):Salary Posting Information: This position falls within salaried grade 16 and the range is $73,100-91,400. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
