What We Are Looking For

Baylor University's School of Music is seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications to develop and execute integrated marketing, communications, and brand strategies that advance institutional goals. This role ensures all messaging aligns with strategic priorities, strengthens brand reputation, supports recruitment, and engages key audiences across multiple platforms.

A Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant work experience are required. A Master's degree and five years of relevant experience are preferred.

A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of one another.

All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the design, development, and management of the School's marketing materials, including recital, concert and other print programs, season brochures, posters, lobby and digital signage, and related print and digital materials, managing the full production cycle of a high-volume performance calendar
  • Plan, implement, and manage integrated marketing and communications initiatives that support student recruitment, enrollment goals, audience engagement, and School of Music visibility
  • Collaborate with the dean, department chairs, division directors, faculty, and staff to identify marketing opportunities and ensure promotional efforts align with School of Music goals and priorities
  • Manage the development and distribution of content across multiple platforms, including websites, email campaigns, social media, digital advertising, print publications, press releases and video projects
  • Supervise and support marketing staff, student workers, interns, and external vendors, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet established quality standards
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and campus partners to support communication efforts and ensure alignment with institutional priorities
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Ability to comply with university policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
