Position DescriptionThe Director of Information Technology (IT) contributes to the overall success of CR Meyer and its customers through ensuring the efficient operation of all technology systems for the company. Responsibilities include oversight of all systems including, but not limited to, networks, hardware, software, voice systems, office machinery, etc. Works with all parties to ensure the secure, efficient operation of all business operations related to technology.
- Direct and oversee the daily operations of the Information Technology (IT) Department, including supervision and development of IT staff, prioritization of projects and support tickets, deployment of technology assets, monitoring of system performance, and maintenance of cybersecurity measures.
- Lead the acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of all company hardware, including network infrastructure, servers, workstations, mobile devices, telephone systems, copiers, and related peripheral equipment.
- Oversee the evaluation, procurement, implementation, maintenance, licensing, and user administration of all company software applications to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure reliable internet connectivity and communications services across all company locations, including project sites, minimizing downtime and supporting uninterrupted business operations.
- Manage technology systems related to physical security and facility access, including electronic access control systems, key fobs, and associated security technologies.
- Oversee the functionality, maintenance, and enhancement of conference room technology and meeting support systems to ensure effective internal and external communications.
- Assess organizational technology needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to senior leadership regarding technology strategy, infrastructure investments, and emerging solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, software licensing obligations, and industry best practices related to information security, data protection, and technology governance.
- Provide leadership and support for critical technology incidents and emergency situations, including after-hours, weekend, and holiday response as necessary to maintain continuous business operations.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and system backup strategies to protect company data and minimize operational disruptions.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and consultants, including contract administration, performance monitoring, and cost controls.
- Wears all assigned PPE and observes CR Meyer safety guidelines at all times.
- Due to project deadlines and demands, regular and reliable attendance is required.
- Represents the CR Meyer brand in a positive, professional manner at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements- Seven to ten years of progressively responsible experience in broad-based technology leadership and support roles required, preferably within the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to successfully complete all CR Meyer required training and perform essential job functions in accordance with company safety standards and guidelines.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with CR Meyer's Drug and Alcohol Policy and Program.
- Valid driver's license required, along with an insurable driving record and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and company expectations.
- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites throughout the United States as business needs require.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
