JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of IT is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the organization's IT infrastructure and systems across all locations. This includes ensuring compliance, network and data security, end-user support, and vendor/contract management. The Director leads the IT team in delivering secure, efficient, and reliable technology solutions that align with the mission and operations of the agency.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Adelbrook is a 24/7 operating Agency. Schedules are flexible, may include early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekdays, weekends, holidays, mandated overtime, mandated holds, and on call responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
• Lead the planning, development, and implementation of agency-wide IT systems and strategy.
• Oversee IT personnel, contractors, and vendors to ensure reliable delivery of services and solutions.
• Develop and manage IT budgets, assets, contracts, and licenses, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Ensure all hardware, software, and network systems are secure, updated, and HIPAA/CIPA/COA compliant.
• Maintain and improve infrastructure components including servers, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and VPN tunnels.
• Provide technical support, training, and guidance to staff for core systems and software applications.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policies, file sharing systems, phone systems, and backup procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all infrastructure, including network diagrams and asset inventories.
• Monitor system performance and resolve any service interruptions or security threats proactively.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement disaster recovery and data protection strategies.
• Collaborate with program leadership to support technology integration in educational and residential services.
• Research, evaluate, and deploy new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage Help Desk system and ensure timely resolution of user-reported issues.
• Ensure mobile and portable devices meet security and compliance standards.
• Facilitate training on digital tools including Office 365 (email, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
• Remain current on industry standards, emerging technologies, and compliance updates.
• Maintain active certification in agency-approved crisis intervention training, including all required levels of Physical and Psychological Management Training (PMT). Apply training techniques appropriately to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals served, staff, and others in the environment. Demonstrate competency in de-escalation strategies, safe physical interventions, and adherence to agency protocols.

• Data protection standards including HIPAA, CIPA, and COA requirements.
• Server and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, SAN).
• ITIL practices and Help Desk ticketing systems.
• Cybersecurity and disaster recovery best practices.

ABILITIES:
• Translate complex technical requirements into operational solutions.
• Lead a team in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
• Work collaboratively across departments to support program needs.
• Train and support users of varying technical skill levels.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (required); advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in a nonprofit or direct care setting strongly preferred.
• Microsoft Certification or equivalent experience highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet transportation requirements as needed.
• Ability to complete and maintain relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, crisis intervention).
• Familiarity with systems including Fortinet, HP/Cisco switches, Unifi access points, Office 365, and VMware/Hyper-V.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Work is performed in residential, clinical, or community-based settings.
• May involve crisis response and physical intervention in accordance with training.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist individuals with daily living activities.
• Ability to be on feet for extended periods and participate in recreational or community-based activities with residents
• Perform all requirements of physical management techniques (PMT)
• Exposure to behaviors that may require de-escalation or intervention
