Responsibilities

Ready to leverage your fundraising expertise, grow major partnerships and help advance a mission that transforms lives? As the Director of Annual Giving you are responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing a comprehensive annual giving program to grow unrestricted revenue and build a sustainable pipeline of future major and planned giving donors. Within this role you'll primarily focuses on securing Annual Fund and mid-level gifts, $10,000 or less. You will oversee a year-round fundraising plan implementing multi-channel fundraising strategies, data-driven donor segmentation, and stewardship efforts to increase donor acquisition, retention, and upgrade rates. Responsibilities:
  • Build a strong base of philanthropic support through managing and cultivating a portfolio of annual and mid-level donors (>$10,000), that also serves as a pipeline for major and legacy gifts
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-channel annual giving plan and appeal strategy (direct mail, email, digital, social, events) that is targeted, purpose driven, timely and donor lifecycle stage appropriate
  • Lead all annual fund campaigns including End of Year giving, Giving Tuesday, monthly giving appeals, special appeals and rapid response campaigns
  • Build data-driven, segmented campaigns for new, renewing, mid-level, upgrade and lapsed donors
  • Set revenue, acquisition, retention, upgrade, engagement and qualitative goals for the Annual Fund program; analyze and produce reports of program KPIs and metrics
  • Design and implement Moves management strategy for annual and mid-level donors that is intentional and ensures donors receive stage-appropriate engagement
  • Track all campaigns in Raiser's Edge, adjusting strategies in real time and crafting reports and analytics to replicate and improve successful solicitation campaigns
  • Partner with Major Gifts team to transition qualified donors for individualized relationship management
  • Partner with Donor Relations Coordinator to design and manage donor giving societies, including monthly giving program
  • Partner with the Donor Relations Coordinator to develop and implement stewardship plans and other meaningful communications to improve donor experience and retention of Annual Fund and mid-level donors

Qualifications:

Required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive fundraising experience with focus on annual giving
  • Alignment with and passion for Seneca's mission and values, and the ability to articulate its unique role in providing youth and families Unconditional Care and its relevance to donors
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising best practices, trends, and donor engagement strategies
  • Ability to engage with donors, executives, board of directors, and community boards
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies' insurance policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprint clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements

Preferred
  • CFRE credential
  • Experience building mid-level or pipeline fundraising programs
  • Experience integrating fundraising with program impact reporting, producing compelling and successful annual fund and mid-level appeals
  • Experience as a strategic thinker with the ability to align philanthropic goals with mission and outcomes to design programmatic and campaign strategies to achieve ambitious fundraising goals

Skills of an Ideal Candidate
  • A problem-solving mindset and diplomatic communication skills
  • Advanced analytical and strategic planning skills, with strong CRM and segmentation expertise (Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Creating and managing multi-channel fundraising campaigns for an organization of comparable size

Schedule
  • Full-time
    • Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

Benefits
  • Starting at $124,195 - $138,195 per year commensurate rate with experience
