Director of HousekeepingPosition SummaryThe Director of Housekeeping is responsible for leading and managing all housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. This role oversees staff, budgets, quality assurance, and operational efficiency across guest rooms, public areas, and laundry services.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management- Direct all housekeeping functions, including guest rooms, public areas, and laundry
- Establish and maintain cleanliness and quality standards
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with brand and company expectations
- Develop and implement departmental procedures and service standards
Leadership & Staff Management- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise housekeeping team members
- Manage scheduling and staffing levels to align with occupancy and business needs
- Coach, mentor, and evaluate staff performance
- Promote a positive, engaged, and safety-focused work environment
Guest Satisfaction- Ensure prompt resolution of guest requests and service issues
- Collaborate with front office, engineering, and other departments
- Monitor and improve guest satisfaction and cleanliness scores
Compliance & Safety- Ensure compliance with OSHA, health, and safety standards
- Train staff on proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety protocols
Strategic Initiatives- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality
- Implement best practices and new technologies

QualificationsEducation & Experience- 5-8+ years of progressive housekeeping or hospitality leadership experience
- Experience managing large teams in a hotel or similar environment

- Financial and budget management experience
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
