Job Description

Become one of the authors of our story. The Director of Housekeeping controls and directs the operations functions of the department. Ensures that all standards and procedures are completed and met. Provides leadership and supports the team in achieving departmental goals & objectives.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their teammates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
  • Organize, develop, implement and administer departmental training and safety programs. Monitors and reports the training results to the Resort Manager.
  • Maintains high morale amongst their team members.
  • Motivates team members to achieve performance objectives.
  • Prepares team member performance evaluations.
  • Corrects, counsels and disciplines team members.
  • Prepares annual operating budget, capital additions and replacements, maintains cost control expenses of labor, linen, cleaning supplies, equipment, guest supply.
  • Develop job descriptions and specifications.
  • Prepares schedule and maintains proper staffing.
  • Tests and selects new chemicals, supplies and equipment.
  • Initiates purchasing and coordinates the receiving of the operational orders of amenities, supplies and equipment.
  • Monitors vacation requests, leave of absence, maternity, TDI, worker's comp, sick and miscellaneous absenteeism matters.
  • Monitor the daily payroll.
  • Prepares department reports.
  • Adhere to and follow all safety policies.
  • Displays strong leadership and management skills to achieve targeted results.
  • Must display organizational excellence and adaptability to business demand.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
  • Address guest concerns, logging and notifying proper departments as required.
  • Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs.
  • Report necessary maintenance items
  • Occasional pulling, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The starting range for this position is $120,000 - 130,000. This is the pay rate for this position that Stanly Ranch reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Spanish fluency is highly preferred.
