POSITION SUMMARY:The Emergency Department Director is responsible for coordinating activities in the Emergency Department on a 24-hour basis. This includes supervision of department personnel and coordination between the hospital and community to provide quality patient care for the public.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:- Minimum 3 years Emergency Room experience.
- 2 years leadership experience preferred
- BSN or related degree (HSA Management).
- Certified or seeking certification in area specialty, i.e., ACLS, CEN, CCRN. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Excellent communication skills,
- Able to establish working relationship with staff and other departments.
- Current Florida Nursing License.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:- Supervises patient care in the Emergency Dept. on a 24-hour basis.
- Directs and coordinates administrative duties in the Emergency Dept.
- Plans and maintains operating and capital budgets.
- Guide and develop staff to maximum potential.
- Acts as a liaison between the hospital Emergency Department and the community.
- Serves hospital by participating in committees to improve functionality.
Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.
