About this Position

The Director provides leadership and vision for enterprise-wide technology services, ensuring alignment with OSU A&M System goals, compliance requirements, and institutional priorities. The Director of Enterprise Platform Services is responsible for strategic direction, financial stewardship, and operational governance of the university system's core digital infrastructure, including enterprise application platforms, identity services, compute, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments that support academic, research, healthcare, and administrative missions.

This role ensures enterprise platform services are resilient, secure, scalable, and aligned with higher education regulatory requirements, institutional risk tolerance, and long-term strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's
    Information Technology-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Five years experience in personnel management in a technical operation.
  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    • Significant progressively responsible leadership experience managing enterprise infrastructure, platform services, or application engineering functions.
    • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, staffing, and large-scale enterprise services with institutional or system-wide impact.
    • Proven ability to lead highly technical teams delivering complex, regulated, and mission-critical IT services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's
    Computing or business related
  • Experience serving in a Director or senior IT leadership role within higher education, research, healthcare, or the public sector.
    • Demonstrated experience overseeing enterprise application platforms, identity services, storage, compute, virtualization, and cloud environments.
    • Strong working knowledge of NIST CSF, ITIL v4, and higher education regulatory requirements.
    • Experience aligning enterprise technology strategy with institutional mission, funding models, and risk management priorities.
  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    Executive-level leadership and communication skills; ability to align institutional strategy with enterprise technology execution; deep understanding of enterprise platform architectures sufficient to guide senior technical leaders; experience managing institutional risk, compliance, and service maturity; strong financial and operational management skills; demonstrated ability to make high-impact decisions affecting system-wide digital infrastructure.
