Vitality Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with strong clinical knowledge and supervisory experience to lead an amazing team of clinicians as their Director of Clinical Operations. Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates and oversees all direct and indirect patient services provided by interdisciplinary team members with the Clinical Team Coordinator.
  • Lead interdisciplinary team meetings to refine patient/family care plans, encouraging the exchange of insights, resolution of challenges, and nurturing professional camaraderie.
  • Responsible for the selection, supervision, and evaluation of interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ensures documentation of services is accurate and timely.
  • Promotes and monitors compliance with requirements and standards established by accrediting or licensing agencies, regulatory agencies and state or federal law relevant to areas of responsibility.
  • Collaborates with Compliance Department to assess staff education needs, create educational content and implement accordingly.
  • Regularly visits contracted facilities to maintain good working relationships, provide education and support.
  • Monitors and reviews monthly bills, supply costs, expense requests, mileage reimbursement, payroll and other expenses.

Qualifications:
  • Licensed to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of agency operation
  • Must have a valid drivers' license with reliable transportation and liability insurance
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience as a professional nurse providing direct patient care in hospice, home health or community health, and a minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of end-of-life care with expertise in crisis intervention, pain and symptom control, clinical bedside nursing, and family counseling
  • Demonstrated ability to execute a supportive, sensitive approach to staff and patient/family needs, including tactful service recovery/complaint resolution
