Provides operational leadership for ambulatory clinics and related services to deliver patient-centered, safe, efficient, and compliant care. Accountable for strategic, operational, and financial performance in partnership with physician, nursing, administrative, and research leaders to achieve organizational goals and meet regulatory, policy, procedure, and accreditation requirements. Promotes a collaborative culture across ambulatory sites that supports high-quality, efficient care and seamless integration of clinical trials and research activities.

ResponsibilitiesOversee clinic operations including patient flow, access, throughput, staffing alignment, care environment, service recovery, and operational readiness.
Ensure operational workflows support safe and efficient integration of standard-of-care services and protocol-driven research care within ambulatory clinics.
Partners with operational, physician, nursing, laboratory, pharmacy, infusion, and other interdisciplinary leaders to ensure coordinated and effective support services in the ambulatory setting.
Partners with colleagues across the organization to assess, communicate, and operationalize initiatives that affect ambulatory care delivery, including clinical research activities.
Assures compliance with quality improvement programs, external agencies, and regulatory bodies.
Accountable for providing a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Plans for future operational capacity, workflow design, and space utilization to meet ambulatory clinical and research program needs.
Identifies, mitigates, and escalates operational issues and risks affecting clinic performance, patient care, and research integration.
Collaborates with service line and physician leadership to develop strategic plans, department objectives and related budgets.
Uses Lean principles to conduct duties.
Serves a primary leadership role in developing operating and capital budgets for assigned ambulatory clinic operations and related services.
Exercises fiscal responsibility in managing to budgets.
Evaluates the operational and financial impact of initiatives, workflows, staffing, and service changes and communicates recommendations to senior leadership.
Manages vendor relationships and service agreements as applicable to assigned areas.
Required:
Progressive leadership experience in ambulatory healthcare operations, oncology operations, or related clinical service operations.
Knowledge of ambulatory clinic workflows, patient throughput, quality and safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Ability to partner effectively across clinical care, operations, and research functions.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage through rapid change.
Demonstrated ability to use operational, quality, service, and financial metrics to measure performance, report outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop action plans.
Ability to lead effectively with emotional intelligence, using sensitivity and empathy in an emotionally challenging environment.
Ability to provide and receive constructive and effective two-way feedback.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate and work effectively with staff, leaders, and physician/research partners at all levels.
Strong critical thinking and judgment with the ability to make effective decisions in a high-pressure, time-sensitive, and complex healthcare environment.
Conflict mitigation, mediation, and resolution skills.
Fiscal management skills including budget preparation, monitoring, and management.
Preferred:
Preferred experience in an academic medical center or oncology setting and experience supporting clinical trials, research operations, or integration of research workflows in ambulatory care.
Experience supporting or overseeing clinical trials, clinical research workflows, or research operations in a healthcare setting
