CoreFactor is searching for a Director of Business Analytics and Insights on a permanent/full-time basis for a client in the GTA.

This position is hybrid and will require the successful incumbent to go into the office two (2) times per week in downtown Toronto.

Our client is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our team as the Director of Business Analytics and Insights. In this pivotal role, you will drive strategic initiatives that enhance business performance and stakeholder engagement by combining strong business partnership, data-driven insights, and practical application of AI-enabled analytics. You will lead a talented analytics team to deliver impactful solutions, identify opportunities to automate and scale insight generation, and ensure analytics capabilities align with our company's goals and values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of business analytics professionals to deliver high-quality insights and actionable recommendations to business stakeholders and partners.
  • Strategic leadership: Collaborate with business leaders and partners to understand priorities, challenges, and opportunities, using data to guide strategies that improve effectiveness, engagement, and outcomes. Develop and manage analytics strategies that provide actionable insights for key stakeholders, focusing on performance tracking, engagement, and growth opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the organization to ensure alignment and collaboration on business objectives.
  • Communication skills: Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and other key stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner, translating complex data into actionable reports and strategic plans.
  • Performance Management: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and relevant metrics to measure business performance, engagement, and operational activities. Continuously monitor, create dashboards, and report on these metrics, providing actionable insights to optimize outcomes.
  • D&A and AI Transformation: Drive the adoption of analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools that enhance data accessibility, visualization, reporting, and decision support. Work closely with IT and D&A functions (i.e. data engineering, data governance, data operations) to ensure high data quality, appropriate controls, and compliance.
  • AI Enablement and Innovation: Identify, prioritize, and help implement AI use cases that improve business analytics, automate manual reporting, accelerate insight generation, and support more proactive decision-making across stakeholder groups and business partners.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation within the analytics function, including ways to use AI to reduce manual effort and improve speed, consistency, and quality of insights.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analytics, AI, automation, and data products.
  • AI Experimentation & Rapid Prototyping: Foster a culture of innovation by actively exploring emerging AI technologies, analytics tools, and automation capabilities. Roll up your sleeves to rapidly prototype, test, and validate new ideas, translating promising concepts into practical business solutions and scalable capabilities.
  • Platform & Solution Development: Partner with technical teams and, where appropriate, directly contribute to the development of analytics products, AI-enabled tools, web applications, and user-facing solutions that improve access to data, insights, and decision support.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in business analytics and business intelligence within a B2B environment, ideally in financial services or asset management.
  • Technical degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), statistical software (e.g., Python), and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce); with a strong working knowledge and understanding of SQL.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and hands-on experience evaluating, prototyping, and applying emerging AI, automation, and productivity technologies to solve business problems and drive innovation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern data architectures.
