About the Job

Sanofi Rare Hem and Oncology Patient and Provider program offers a comprehensive set of services that support patients, their caregivers, and healthcare providers. The Program provides support to patients on product education, access to therapy. The Program's operations team provides support to healthcare providers by helping their patient's access therapy as quickly as possible.

The Brand Strategy & Commercial Integration Lead serves as the strategic partner to commercial brand teams, architecting the integration of patient services into commercial strategy and execution. This role leads annual brand planning, customer insights strategy, and brand messaging while ensuring patient support programs drive measurable business outcomes across the rare hematology and oncology portfolio.

This individual serves as the primary point of contact to Brand Leadership, owns the annual brand planning cycle for patient support programs, leads commercial messaging strategy across all touchpoints, and drives Plan of Action (POA) planning to ensure cross-functional alignment. This role requires a strategic leader with deep commercial acumen, brand marketing expertise, and the ability to translate patient support program capabilities into compelling brand value propositions that drive measurable business results.

Lead annual brand planning, customer insights strategy, and commercial messaging while ensuring patient support programs drive measurable business outcomes across the rare hematology and oncology portfolio.

Main Responsibilities

Brand Planning & Execution Strategy
  • Lead annual brand planning cycle including situation analysis, strategic prioritization, business case development for patient support programs
  • Communicate patient support program strategy within the broader brand planning framework, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and market dynamics
  • Conduct comprehensive situation analysis, including market assessment, landscape evaluation, and patient support program performance review
  • Facilitate strategic prioritization sessions with cross-functional teams to identify key opportunities and resource allocation for patient support programs
  • Develop business cases for major patient support program investments
  • Own budget development and allocation for patient support programs within the brand planning process, ensuring financial alignment with strategic priorities
  • Present brand planning recommendations to Commercial Leadership and secure alignment on strategic direction and resource allocation


Brand Team Partnership & Strategic Leadership
  • Act as Brand Team partner and point of contact to Brand Leadership across the rare hematology and oncology portfolio
  • Represent patient support services at senior leadership level in brand strategy sessions, commercial reviews, and strategic planning
  • Ensure patient support programs are fully integrated into brand strategy, commercial execution, and field activities
  • Partner with Brand Marketing leadership to align patient support program capabilities with brand positioning and commercial messaging
  • Serve as the voice of Patient Support Services in cross-functional brand discussions, ensuring program capabilities and patient insights inform commercial decision-making
  • Facilitate alignment between patient support program operations and brand team priorities, ensuring seamless execution


HemAssist and CareAssist Messaging Strategy
  • Ensure messaging consistency across all HemAssist and CareAssist patient support program touchpoints, including patient materials, HCP communications, field tools, and digital assets
  • Develop messaging guidelines and content standards that enable consistent HemAssist and CareAssist program communication across all channels
  • Co-lead HemAssist messaging strategy in partnership with Hemophilia and the Content operations & asset management leads, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment across all commercial touchpoints
  • Partner with Hemophilia and Content operations & asset management leads and Brand Marketing to develop compelling messaging that communicates HemAssist program value to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers
  • Partner with Medical Affairs to ensure all messaging is scientifically accurate, compliant, and aligned with product labeling
  • Lead message testing and optimization initiatives to ensure HemAssist and CareAssist messaging resonates with target audiences and drives desired behaviors


Plan of Action (POA) Planning & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Own POA Planning, coordinating cross-functional alignment on priorities, messaging, and field execution in advance of key planning cycles
  • Lead POA development sessions with Brand Teams, Training and Field Teams to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and tactical execution
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions that integrate patient support program capabilities into field execution plans
  • Develop POA materials, including priority messaging, field tools, and execution guidelines that enable effective field communication of HemAssist and CareAssist program value
  • Coordinate with Clinical Educator, Case Management and FRM teams to ensure POA priorities are understood and executable in the field
  • Monitor POA execution and provide feedback to PSS Leadership and Brand Teams on field adoption and effectiveness


Congress Strategic Planning & Senior Stakeholder Coordination
  • Lead congress strategic planning that maximizes patient support program visibility and stakeholder engagement at key industry events
  • Coordinate stakeholder participation and strategic messaging for key medical and commercial conferences
  • Partner with Brand Teams to ensure patient support program messaging is integrated into congress presentations and materials
  • Lead post-congress analysis and strategic follow-up activities


Competitive Intelligence & VOC Strategy
  • Lead Voice of Customer (VOC) strategy to inform brand strategy and program optimization
  • Design customer research initiatives that provide insights into patient, caregiver, and HCP experiences with patient support programs
  • Analyze patient support program offerings and identify opportunities for HemAssist and CareAssist program differentiation
  • Conduct patient journey mapping to identify pain points, unmet needs, and opportunities for program enhancement
  • Partner with Market Research and Business Analytics teams to develop customer insights that inform brand strategy
  • Present customer insights to Brand Teams and Commercial Leadership, translating research findings into actionable strategic recommendations
  • Maintain ongoing intelligence on patient support program landscape, including new program launches, messaging changes, and market dynamics


Budget Strategy, Resource Allocation, and ROI Analysis
  • Own budget strategy and resource allocation for patient support programs, ensuring financial alignment with strategic priorities
  • Develop business cases for major patient support program investments
  • Partner with Finance teams to develop budgets, track spend, and ensure financial alignment with program objectives
  • Monitor budget performance against forecast, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency across patient support programs
  • Ensure financial transparency and accountability in budget management


Cross-Role Dependencies
  • Coordinates brand priorities across all roles; ensures patient support programs are integrated into commercial strategy
  • Partners with content operations & asset management leads on messaging execution and HemAssist and CareAssist content development - this role owns messaging strategy; content operations & asset management leads owns content execution and pull-through
  • Delegates tactical brand work to other roles (e.g., congress logistics to content operations & asset management leads; tactical FRM coordination to operations & performance lead)

About You

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical brand marketing, commercial strategy, or patient support services
  • Proven experience leading brand planning processes and cross-functional strategic initiatives
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial operations, including brand management, sales execution, and market access
  • Experience developing messaging strategy and content for healthcare audiences (patients, caregivers, HCPs)
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with brand teams and commercial leadership
  • Experience conducting customer research, competitive intelligence, and market analysis
